Swap cancel interaction with buffs was changed from last CBT. Previously, if you swap canceled during DM and swapped back to Calcharo before he left the field, he would retain all buffs. That is no longer the case. In current version, the moment you swap to another character, Calcharo loses all single-target buffs from his subdps even if you swap back in time to prevent him leaving the field. So swap canceling during DM during his ult phase will lower your dps unless you entered early without subdps buff.
That is wrong. You retain the buff as long as the character is still on the field. If you let them finish their move and they disappear tho, yes they will lose their buffs.
@@iamrivenous That is how it used to work, but not anymore. If you don't believe me, you can test it very easily for yourself ingame using Sanhua's outro buff and comparing Hound's Messenger 1 damage pre- and post-swap cancel
That's what I'm wondering as well, I can't test it yet as I haven't had the chance to build Sanhua but if it is true that swapping out even while the animation is still going if it'll retain it or lose it. And if it's the latter would it not be more beneficial to spend the 14 sec buff just staying on field and mixing in either 3 skills and a heavy or something like thundering Memphis to fill in those 4 extra seconds as his ult only lasts 10.
He's getting nerfed before Yinlin is released because that duo is way too broken.. but Yinlin Will be buffed. Supposedly this will push him into sub DPS roll when he is paired with her she will become primary DPS but he will still be a main DPS in other teams that exclude Yinlin... this is all the speculation though have to wait until she is released

i really enjoy swap cancelling every one of his downward heavy attacks, it might be terrible compared to the optimal dps rotations but with all the outro and echo skills you get to cast its just really fun to play him that way haha

I'm surprised you didn't cover it yet, but Chinese tier lists are actually recommending Jianxin as one of the top priorities. Also, Calcharo after 1.0 nerfs is not anymore as good as before as a team mate for Yinlin, since now Yinlin does more damage than him as a main DPS, so Yinlin teams are going to be Yinlin + Yinlin sub dps + support/healer. This is the 5 stars priority order right now in China: 1. Verina 2. Encore/Jiyan (whichever you like more, their damage is almost double as Calcharo played at the same skill level, since Calcharo requires a very high skill play mastering). 3. Jianxin (polyvalent support for current/future teams). Hope it's helpful!
I have Jiyans weapon on him and i have nearly 40-230 cr/cd but i have my echoes in 4 3 3 1 1, should i change it to have two 4 cost echoes to have more cr? its being hard to have any cr substat in the 1 cost echoes and i would love to have more cr even at expense of some of my cd, thats the only issue i have with him

In wuthering waves if i am in any domain, event (battle event) and tower ( end game) basically not in open world then even at the highest setting my game does not lag even a bit ( constantly 58-60 fps) . But when i am in the open world, no matter i am at which setting( highest/ lowest) my game lag soo much. Too much fps drop. (30-45 fps even while standing and picking any material)

Also, in regards to animation cancelling, was it calculated that 3 death messangers with animation cancelling does less damage than only 2 but spamming auto attacks?

So if I got calcharo for the sole reason of being a yinlin dps this build allows me to field my yinlin more often as supposed to the current builds and rotations that have him on field and basic attack often

(Verdant Summit used to be 5% ahead before) Not sure if this is because of a change on the skill rotation used, or because of Lustrous Razor's mistranlation (In reality, Lustrous Razor passive skill caps at 3 stacks, not not 2. The CN desciption also says 3 stacks, so this is very likely a mistralation rather than a bug.) Btw, I'm curious: do the maths shown in this video take the mistranslation into account?

Btw, as a side-note, Prydwen also used to recomend the flautist as the active echo, but recently changed their recomendation to either Tempest Mephis or Mecha Abomination (depending on the set used) I'm not sure what led to these changes, but it's cool that the game's combat has enough complexity that people are still figuring out new strategies.

I don't understand how the Calcharo 5x dodge cancel works, could you list the exact inputs? If I cancel them 5 times it doesn't look like what I can see in the bilibili video you linked, in the video the guy gets like triple stacks all the time.
I have a question about calcharo. I play at >177ms and for some reason his ult AA string leaves him only at the 4th gauge, which keeps me from doing the enchanced Charged Attack inmediately after the string. From testing, I think the first gauge has some delay and apears when I am doing the second AA (when Calcharo does the double slash), which makes the second gauge, which should come from the second AA, not count. Also, just tested, if I manually wait a bit of time (not sure how much) between the first AA and second AA, it works normally and I reach 5th gauge. Any tip on how to work around it or on what to do? Edit: I just managed to do two empowered charged attacks, by waiting until the first gauge is full, after the first AA, before clicking for the second AA, but the timing is pretty tight or else the second empowered CA doesnt go off.
In my experience this game have funny interaction with lag & fps drop. Basically if your lagging / fps dropping when you do the skill string / ult basic atk string, it may not register a hit if it happen while lag / fps drop. It really does suck
Quick question about Autumntrace bp weapon: The stackable atk triggered by basic attacks does not stack during his ultimate since Hounds Roar is considered res lib damage?
When talking about skill priority, when you say basic attack is last, does it mean that it shouldn't be leveled? Does leveling it do nothing or is it just about resources?

i tried to swap cancel Flautist, it doesn't do the full 10 hits because to do the full 10 hits we gotta hold onto Q button. how come this wasnt mentioned?
Yes you need to channel full for 10 hits. You can cancel it a bit early for around 7-8 hits (tho that requires some practice to know when u can/should cancel) which is enough for 2 outros.
I'll change my way for the recommendations, have gotten this question/feedback quite a bit. I mean 100 base (50 u already have by default) so 200-220% total, means 50-70% from subs/mainstats. You can obviously get way more but let's stay realistic.
Would a hybrid dps Yangyang be a good replacement for mortefi with her outro skill giving more ultimate uptime on calcharo while also dishing good damage herself?
nope, all of her skills take too long. mortefi and yinlin fit perfectly because they just use a very fast skill or AA and by that death messenger is already finished, when you want to be back at calcharo.
Tip for calcharo build up Attk% crit rate% crit damage% as possible all 1star echo attk% same stats and 3 & 4 star echo crit rate% same stats.. The sword is possible to try to get a 5 star weapon with crit rate my calcharo stats 1,456.00attk crit rate 100% crit damage 221%
I feel silly for not knowing this, but how much concerto is “max” concerto? Like, if his ultimate generates 20 concerto, what percentage of his gauge is that?
As long as the character stays visibly on field, the buff does as well. Same as with Mech Abomination right now. Even says so in the description (...switched off-field).
@@homeostasis1103 You're right, my bad. Re-tested it as well. I was confused because of how the 5pc Lingering Tunes Set works. However, even then I don't think it will kill swap-cancels. If you dont cancel anything, this character is straight-up garbage just as many other chars as well (encore, sanhua, ... for example)
@@iamrivenous I'm extremely high on hopium right now that it's just her outro skill localisation is bugged. Due to the bug that allowed people to actually see yilin skills ingame (the one with changing date iirc) the tooltip said "until they're switched off field". I'll be insanely disappointed if it's not bugged because it'll make calcharo another hypercarry without cancel swaps because there's no way any swaps will outperform that buff on his liberation dmg.
I use him and Encore and his damage feels much lower and harder to achieve. Just Encors ranged skill alone is faster, safer and deals more damage than Calcharos entire skill+basic+heavy combo.
And Encore can’t parry, which means she breaks much slower than melee. Pros and cons to both. Encore being a ranged basic attack spammer is both her strength and weakness.

At least my sheet I can keep updated. IK why they changed it, but personally I think both are quite even up. In the end, we are only talking about a very few % diffs here anyway

I don't understand how the Calcharo 5x dodge cancel works, could you list the exact inputs? If I cancel them 5 times it doesn't look like what I can see in the bilibili video you linked, in the video the guy gets like triple stacks all the time.

I have a question about calcharo. I play at >177ms and for some reason his ult AA string leaves him only at the 4th gauge, which keeps me from doing the enchanced Charged Attack inmediately after the string. From testing, I think the first gauge has some delay and apears when I am doing the second AA (when Calcharo does the double slash), which makes the second gauge, which should come from the second AA, not count. Also, just tested, if I manually wait a bit of time (not sure how much) between the first AA and second AA, it works normally and I reach 5th gauge. Any tip on how to work around it or on what to do?
Edit: I just managed to do two empowered charged attacks, by waiting until the first gauge is full, after the first AA, before clicking for the second AA, but the timing is pretty tight or else the second empowered CA doesnt go off.
It happens to his skill sometimes aswell if you press it too fast :/ I sent a ticket in game so hopefully they can fix this asap
In my experience this game have funny interaction with lag & fps drop. Basically if your lagging / fps dropping when you do the skill string / ult basic atk string, it may not register a hit if it happen while lag / fps drop. It really does suck
@@MeeHun112 I hope that gets fixed. In my case I think it does register the hit and damage, but not the gauge meter.
Yes the timing is very tight, for me for example, I can do 3 DM with a quick dodge after N1, then press N2, but sometimes it fails.-. (250ms ping)

No his hounds roars are considered basic attack damage

When talking about skill priority, when you say basic attack is last, does it mean that it shouldn't be leveled? Does leveling it do nothing or is it just about resources?

i tried to swap cancel Flautist, it doesn't do the full 10 hits because to do the full 10 hits we gotta hold onto Q button. how come this wasnt mentioned?
Yes you need to channel full for 10 hits. You can cancel it a bit early for around 7-8 hits (tho that requires some practice to know when u can/should cancel) which is enough for 2 outros.
Does your dps calc include Yinlin’s outtro being canceled when you swap back to her after death messenger?

When you recommend 100%-120% CDMG do you mean bonus over the base 150%? or is it 150%-170%?

I'll change my way for the recommendations, have gotten this question/feedback quite a bit. I mean 100 base (50 u already have by default) so 200-220% total, means 50-70% from subs/mainstats. You can obviously get way more but let's stay realistic.

nope, all of her skills take too long. mortefi and yinlin fit perfectly because they just use a very fast skill or AA and by that death messenger is already finished, when you want to be back at calcharo.

There's info about yinlin outro skill disappearing after character swap, so it's probably gonna kill cancel swapping
As long as the character stays visibly on field, the buff does as well. Same as with Mech Abomination right now. Even says so in the description (...switched off-field).
@@iamrivenous literally tested it with jianxin outro and visuals do disappear even if you swap before calcharo goes off field
@@homeostasis1103 You're right, my bad. Re-tested it as well. I was confused because of how the 5pc Lingering Tunes Set works. However, even then I don't think it will kill swap-cancels. If you dont cancel anything, this character is straight-up garbage just as many other chars as well (encore, sanhua, ... for example)
@@iamrivenous I'm extremely high on hopium right now that it's just her outro skill localisation is bugged. Due to the bug that allowed people to actually see yilin skills ingame (the one with changing date iirc) the tooltip said "until they're switched off field". I'll be insanely disappointed if it's not bugged because it'll make calcharo another hypercarry without cancel swaps because there's no way any swaps will outperform that buff on his liberation dmg.

I use him and Encore and his damage feels much lower and harder to achieve. Just Encors ranged skill alone is faster, safer and deals more damage than Calcharos entire skill+basic+heavy combo.
And Encore can’t parry, which means she breaks much slower than melee. Pros and cons to both. Encore being a ranged basic attack spammer is both her strength and weakness.
