This is absolutely beautiful, you have inspired me! I have never painted acrylic, but I want to try this. Can you tell me how the gold paint shown at The beginning got so thick? Did you add both textured gel and sand to the paint? And the black that you pulled downward, was that just black paint with the sand in it? I guess I’m trying to understand how you use the texture gel and where?

The gold paint got so thick cuz I added a lot of sand to the paint. I added only sand and nothing else. The black I pulled downward is the Black Lava Texture Gel and nothing else

Fantastic background, I like cold greys very much. Mixing acrylic colours with sand is also a good idea, because the material changes its consistency and let‘s do other forms. 🌷✨☺️

I am not sure if I got you clear. You are wondering whether you can use a ready-made sand paste instead of a DIY one to get the same result? It depends on how much sand the manufacturer add to the product. I added a lot of sand to get this heavy texture

You definitely don't need texture gel and actually, acrylic paint is enough as a binder but if you worry you can add some glue 🙂

This is regular acrylic paint. Some unknown brands. I mixed white and black to get this medium grey color

How do you seal this to keep paint from crumbling over years?
I don't do that, but if I sealed I would use matt varnish for the background and glossy varnish for the metallic paint

But I definitely wouldn't use green and red together in this artwork
