Remember Atlas St full of old pit miners houses. What a change. Before buses really came to Brinsworth. We used to walk all the down to Canklow to get the bus into town. Canklow was known as the terminus. Used to be a lad in my class at school he lived on Atlas Street , Graham Merick he was a wonderful artist
Down where you called it "The Sidings" there is a pub there now called The Sidings. And if you go to Wickersley Park there are more of them free to use exercise contraptions. Pretty cool really.... Not that they'll get used, o'course.

The land from Atlas Stret going towards the top of Bonnet Lane was supposed to have been the site of an ancient battle. Swords daggers and soldiers artifacts were found there.Could never find more info about it...
After services at St Andrews was a youth club in the church hall of St George my father was youth leader there for a while. It was always well attended. ST Andews used get a congregation of 80 to 100 in the 1950's. Was a choir of 6 boys two girls and 4 adults. We wore dickie bows on hard collars

Saw the pub, the exercise machine is a great idea, it's in the clip walking up the path never noticed it, I were more focused looking up the hill,
ha we used to drink white lightning and hoopers hooch in that park at school :D

That could be why the road names on that estate are named after Romans
