these are two totally different scooters ( i have both), one is a dual motor scooter with power and the other single motor with a tiny battery (still quick but tiny) different applications. I use the GT for quick trips into town and the Climber for longer rides.
I had the NIU kqi3 Max, and I hated it. THIS is the better scooter IMO. It has a larger 15ah battery (kqi3 Max is 13ah), has the dual 450 watt, 750 watt peak motors (kqi3 Max is 450 watt, 900 peak), and is about the same price, BUT performs much better (it KILLED the HILL OF DEATH!!!). Overall, a wonderful scooter for us bigger bros (240lbs here). Thanks for the excellent review Tim. Doug
Would you recommend for a commuter, and how portable is it when folded? Good for stowing on a bus/train? Also, is the weight 54 lb or 45 lbs? I saw this on the amazon store listed as 45 Thanks for the great review, cheers. 👍
Awesome @FoxhoundJay to hear from you...I think it's about 54lbs...I think it would make a terrific commuter plus it's got the extra power and range to get you home. The only thing is that the roads and paths should be pretty flat as it's doesn't have suspension. If you think you might prefer suspension then look at my reviews of the Apollo City :)
Does the app allow you to create speed limits? These are technically illegal in my country, but law enforcement only checks the speed. So if you can limit it to the legal speed without being able to adjust it on the scooter (ie change speed without the app) you can get way with it.
Hi Tim, I’m going to get Inmotion S1. Is there anything better than Inmotion S1? I’m looking for an e scooter with long distance/range (45km and up), long-time battery, high speed like at least 30-45km/h, never-flat tyres, to commute to work. I live in Gold Coast. Thanks!
Awesome question @TuNguyen-kr2lb, love the S1....the only one I'd look at is the Apollo City Pro....but it might not be sold on the Gold Coast ...not sure :)
Awesome question @jeanclaudevanslamme, you can check here: www.iec.ch/ip-ratings but basically it's got dust protection and protection from splashing water. You could take a few mins and add your own protection ...like some sealant on cracks etc for the wetter seasons but don't hit the puddles :)
Waterproof os my main concern Is motionclimber waterproof I want scooter to be waterproof as I commute only 4 miles to work 5 days however waterproof batter n motors are imp for me to buy this Please reply
@timselectric I know u reviewed the inmotion s1. Im deciding between the inmotion S1F or this Inmotion climber due to its lighter weight. In your opinion which is better? I weight roughly 220-230lbs.
Awesome question @MrShOpOw, it depends...the power was more on the climber but the ride was more comfortable on the S1...so it depends on your environment...hills...extra weight..climber...no hills then S1 :) IMHO
@@TimsElectric I got the climber a few days ago. It handles the hills well in my area. But after watching some of ur vids u mention how much u love the Apollo city. Im curious if I may want to swap my climber for that one
that is true @Eddienet, I think suspension important for heavier riders...but it does have plenty of power to get me around town...but not huge range...10 miles or so is no problem :)
it's funny you should ask...I'm thinking I need to film that video next...like this week probably :) would it be ok to answer this in the video as there are lots of points to be covered :)
@DeathCab4Cutie s1 is another scooter from inmotion. it's not dual motor, it's strength is its range ~60 miles. it's got good speed, 25mph. but it's noticeably heavier. but that's because it has dual suspension and a bigger battery.
@@lexxzus 18 still isn't all that far from 21 and 90% of the time my SLOWmotion climber is locked at 19. even WITH a full battery it doesn't stay at 20 or 21 for too long at all before it drops to 19 and stays there. then i'll lose a bar and it'll definitely pretty much stay at 19 to 18. thankfully my 41mph ausom leopard dt1 pro came today (12/21/24). gonna unbox it tuesday.
This is what I ended up getting after it was recommended to me as well. I'm a big guy in New West so i got hills everywhere. The battery doesn't like it so much but it's gotten me up some long ones and some steep ones.
@@TimsElectric I guess I was just trying to figure out how difficult it would be to replace the brakes. On my mountain bike is fairly easy. Also, how about the battery?
I actually don't know...as they're drum brakes I've never tried...and as to the battery...again not sure...you'd need to pop open the deck and remove it and replace it....not super difficult but I haven't done it :)...never needed to :) but a few years time I might need to ...with regen brakes you don't typically get the same brake wear :)
@@TimsElectric I'll come back with an update. Thank you so much. Also, I hear a lot of scary things about tubed tires - any advice you can give me, even if it's to buy better tubes?

You're awesome Doug K., thank you...I need to do a comparison and might compare similarly priced scooters....like the Niu :)
so true Robin, dual motors for this "big guy" is so helpful on the hills :)
I have this in my scooter stable and really like it!
Awesome Joseph Morgan, what's it been like long term?
Here in NY is 750 dual motors. I guess they reduce for Canadians i am assuming? Unless i am misunderstanding.
it might be that you're reading maximum output vs sustained output...but you might be right :)
Looks like a winner!
I wonder if you will get the RS "hyperscooter" or V13 EUC to review 👀👀
Fingers are crossed Jamie!!!
For big dudes who only want to go around 20mph i recommend the Hover Journey Max and this the Inmotion Climber.
Awesome @jaybones614, I haven't tried the Hover before :) glad you're liking it ;) the Climber is solid :) :)
Of course it's really smooth around the arena because the cement is exceptionally smooth which is not the real world street conditions.

does it compare to the splach in anyway aside from price? I know they target different target audiences, but is priced in the same range

It's literally the Segway max with a front and back motor. I like it.
