I find this a sad time for CITV as in this clip it looked like a shell of what it was 2 years earlier with a smaller studio which acted as an interim for the move to OVC in Manchester in the autumn with the decline in programmes at the same time
The Entire CITV Schedule January 5th 2004, 3:15 pm Miffy & Friends/Thomas and Friends 3:30 pm What About Mimi? 4:00 pm Hey Arnold! 4:30 pm The Sleepover Club (Afterwards: 11:02 I've been Andy thanks a lot for watching We'll see you tomorrow at 3:15 I've had a great day hope you have too, see you tomorrow).
Ah, the good old days for me when I used to go to my nan and grandad's on Fridays after school and my nan recorded all the Thomas & Friends episodes that were shown on Citv for me to watch; I would be there when she recorded an episode (or two in the case for the Series 6 and 7 episodes) for me, then she would rewind the video so I can watch the other episodes she recorded for me during the week). I was mainly only interested in the preschool programme block on Citv back then because I was only after Thomas & Friends..... Nowadays, since July 2006, Channel 5 have got the terrestrial rights to show Thomas & Friends, on their Milkshake! block in the mornings....
Seems a little strange for the Milkybar ad to refer Thomas & Friends by it's original name. The current name had already appeared on merchandise as early as 2000 (but the original name continued in-use for Series 6 with the current name debuting on TV in Series 7)
CITV didn't come from the studio at weekends as it was not needed Sunday mornings did become live but it was rather pointless as only one show was shown ITV2 did air Saturday and Sunday live afternoon blocks ITV1 tried an Saturday afternoon block did last long moved to Sundays then ended it was never brought back
Remember watching Percy Gets it Right that very day on Citv & this was the day before I started a new primary school too. Thanks for uploading this

Was inevitable. A sense of going wrong for so long after the funding cuts in 2001.
