@@hennwei I was hoping someone would ask me this!! I found out that my Amazon Prime subscription gives me access to a cloud gaming selection called Luna. Which includes… (among other games) Fortnite! Works a treat as long as you have a decent internet connection.
Its worth noting that Melgeek was not the first to do this. Razer was the first with their Snap Tap and then Wooting followed up with SOCD (Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions). It is also worth noting that this is essentially a null bind script, which is nothing new in gaming which has been, and continues to be referred to as cheating by a lot of game developers and gaming communities. Valve has already cracked down on null bind scripts and now has done the same for Snap Tap and SOCD technologies; where using these features can result in you being kicked from the match, and maybe even temporary / permanent bans. Its likely that other competitive games that rely on strafing and counter strafing will also ban this from their games. Good video nonetheless.
OPINION WARNING!!! nullbinds are only cheating in tac shooters because counterstrafing is an infinitely important skill. however AD strafing in other games is so trivial and hardly ever useful, it’s essentially just a QOL change to not have to set up nullbinds in EVERY GAME I PLAY (other than cs)
Note, it is detectable and bannable in cs2, or rather the pro scene, but also u will constantly get kicked if you it in the game anyway. Other games like overwatch it aint but thats a shit game anyway
its not cheating. you know why valve is cracking down on it? because their cs player base will never bother to upgrade their hardware but they wanna focus on spending on skins.
The way you explained how normal switches work made it sound as if you need to bottom out the switch for it to count as an "input", which isn't the case. A switch has an actuation point, which can vary in distances between different switches. When you start to press a switch down, it travels a certain distance before hitting the actuation point and registering an input, but your switch can continue to travel past this point. However in your video you said that you have to press it "all the way down", which is bottoming out a switch. Anyone who's into keyboards will know what you mean, and understand what you're getting at, but someone new to gaming with a keyboard isn't really getting the full picture with this video. Just something to note!
this has been out with razer’s snap tap and wooting’s socd, both of which have already been banned by the majority of competitive games as far as I know
well for 150 bucks not bad but there are cheaper alternatives now with the same mechanics for 100 bucks and sadly socd / snap tap has already been banned in cs2 but hey still a great review nonetheless
I don't think this is cheating in my opinion same way an oled can save u 5 to 10ms over lcd i think this should be standard in all keyboards, if everyone have it ,it's not cheeto.
Sweet! And just in case (like me) you panicked that you wouldn’t be able to tax it with a Mac, I discovered that my Amazon Prime subscription includes access to a cloud gaming service with some great titles in.
Your example footage is laughable. At no point did you actually counter strafe (just held left on the keyboard) and were undoubtedly playing against bots lmao
Nah I was playing real people mate (except the purple question marks footage which was definitely bots) - I wanted to show a few other examples other than Fortnite. Glad it gave you a laugh anyway 😘
Some people seem to think so. I’m on the fence still. I haven’t played FPS on a keyboard/mouse setup for over 20 years and with this I managed to come consistently in the top 3 in Fortnite after my first couple of games.
@@ThatMarkGilroy Normally, in Fortnite, there are only bots when you play for the first time. By the time the game places us in a SBMM (Skill-Based Matchmaking) of our level, there are at most 10 real players who also have a bad level at the start. Magnetic keyboards are not that strong that it helps a little but nothing more ,while a Cronus THAT is a real cheat
@ in a cronus you can put scripts to have 0 recoil, scripts that boost aim assist and lots of other things for controller players and if you play cs it can make your cs look like a controller and there fore have aim assist as well as anti-recoil scripts and everything. it's almost undetectable because it doesn't directly modify the game, it modifies the control of the controller by making micro adjustments that are impossible to do normally
not really, they werent far behing wooting and razer tbh..... he was just late to put out a video on it, hell most HE keyboard manufacturers had SOCD/ Snap tap features within a month of the big guys putting it out
