- I had a blast recording this song for Italian guitar player Marco Barberini. Since I like enjoying full takes when I'm tracking and this was take 4 of 5, you can see I'm a bit toasty from bashing it out. Old-skool concert toms and lots of fun drum parts in this one. I cracked the crash cymbal on my left on the take before this one and that gave it that extra "crack"!

I once heard that his poop is being considered to replace legal currency in several European countries.and if you rub it on your calves your double bass chops will improve dramatically in minutes!!!

Why did Thomas switch to Match Grip?
He switches based in the genre he plays. It’s not like he’ll never play traditional again, just only when he feels it’s best for the occasion
@@Truth_Çkr I haven't seen anything from him and probably the past 10 years where he's using traditional grip. If I could ask Thomas to question personally that would be the question I would ask. Used traditional grip extensively in his old DVD videos. But now he uses match grip I guess it'll be the Eternal drum mystery

Favorite Yngwie tune….so killer
Everything sounds great, but I've never been a fan of 2-ply heads on snare drums. Just sounds too thick...not enough "snap" IMHO.
There was a time...not so long ago but it feels like a lifetime ago when Yngwie used quality musicians on his recordings. How Barriemore Barlow´s drumming totally lifts this album!
Did he use concert toms on it? it surely sounds like it but the photos from the sesssion has this Pearl-kit set up with double headed toms, if I´m not mistaken?
I only listen to the Jethro Tull albums that Barriemore is on, the others I don´t care for at all...
Lang is in my opinion one of the greatest "allround" drummers living today, I can think of many up there with him but as far as his fluent rolls and consistent sound there are not as many...
