Thanks for the tips James. I'm Planning on buying Stagg Cymbals this Coming December and Your Videos Help me a lot thanks for the tips and Demos! Great Video
Hi James this ride is fantastic i got this cymbal and I have to say this the best ride i ever had. you can use this ride like a big crash. you can ride on it you can crash . Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi James can you tell me about VB crash cymbals. i just chekt 17" VB crash cymbal and i love it. im playing rock/metal and i want to buy this cymbal i love the sound of this cymbal. Do you thing it will be good cymbal to use in rock/metal music?
Hey man, the VB are fantastic but might not be bright enough for metal. the larger sizes are good for crash riding but they open up a little slower so they might get a little lost in a dense mix. Good for rock, but metal might be pushing it. Im working on a bunch of demos at the moment and i've got some VB crashes to do so i'll make sure i play them in a rock and metal setting for you.
Cool man i going to wait for new demo. I still like to get VB cymbals i really like sound of this cymbals. I know i can use them on other sytuations. And i have another question , some time ago I asked you about cymbals efects, do you know if Stagg planing to make Furia china cymbals or somthin like oz crashes? I thik Furia and DH syries will be perfect for that caind of cymbals.
Hi James! Love the ride - might a good replacement for my awful Paiste pst3. I was wondering what the song you played at 2:30, and the one after it were?
Hey! the song at 2:30 is called "Chaos Theory", i've just uploaded a video of me playing the full song. The song after is a Nirvana song but cant remember the name.
They're very durable, but like all cymbals its important to pick the weights and thicknesses to suit the music / environment you're playing in. They're not very thin, but thinner than more rock aimed cymbals
Is it warped? Put it on a flat table top and see if there is any gap around the edge where the cymbal sits. This is a light cymbal and could get out of shape, not one for the metal drummers and it would not stand up to heavy hits for crash purposes imo!
@@johncollins5552 we're a bit too late to answer but i think he got the brilliant version not the regular one cause in my personal opinion the brilliant version kinda suck
Just bought a 6' SH splash for less than 20 bucks, best splash of my set... This serie is amazing.

What's the name of the starting song?
@james chapman are the sh line durable? Are they really thin compared to other cymbals?

Mine sounds nothing like this one, should I complain to Stagg and see what they can do, I've had it ages and I've always hated it
+Samuel Wilson maybe you play it in a room with lousy sound quality or something lol
+Juan RB every room I've ever played it in its sounded awful. I contacted them and they said I had no warranty so couldn't do anything
that's really fucked up man, it is still a great cymbal :p
