- Fan mod of Touhou 18.
Making custom stages inside existing Touhou games is an absolutely novel idea that I love.
Really gives you that romhack feel.
In terms of the story this stage can easily take place in-between the main game and the Extra stage. So in a way this is kind of an Extra Prequel stage.
Clear of the stage without dying, using bombs or using any cards that cancel bullets.
Used the Wolf and Doll card for some extra DPS.
You can use the shop five times at the beginning of the stage. Here I'm hoping for equipment cards for more DPS.
Used Sanae because this is going by trial rules before things got buffed.
Trouble spots are the stage, the 2nd nonspell, 5th spell and the final.
The stage portion is short but sweet. Hard section that cuts right to the chase and doesn't waste any time. You need to do some hard streaming and restreaming while dodging random bullets.
2nd non is quite tricky, the overlap with the purple bullets is quite rough. I misdirect the first purple wave to make it a bit easier.
The 5th spell is easily the hardest thing in the stage, it can be really bullshit sometimes lol.
The final is not too bad but the RNG on the snowballs can be really dumb.
For the first spell I lure the boss to the top so I have more time to dodge the big yellow orbs.
The survival could really use a warning indication before stuff comes from behind. Actually lost a run to that once.

Asset Bubble [Market Crash] is such a hilariously named (yet oddly appropriate) spell card.

That was such a genius design for a spell card, a chart that goes up and up and suddenly crashes down.

This mod is so well made I thought it was an official stage before playing the game. It really fits the game, and now I really miss Joon in it. So I'm gonna put that Mod in my headcanon lol !

My lord someone really spent a pint of beer or two while working on this "ROMhack". Also the naming scheme - did only I got the ZUNish feel to it? You know like the joke where he opens a random page in English dictionary and decides to go with words from that page? Yeah. That was kinda it or at least I felt this way.
Maybe too harshly but anyways, this fight was definetly a well made one and an original at that (outside the purple danmaku and coins, those reminded me of Ran and Komachi)

This game should have Phantasm Stage, Jo'on would be the boss and Shion is mid-boss
Joon is not enough strong for being phantasm stage boss. She's super Bitch and She's not too strong. She should stage 4 or 5 boss. All phantasm stage bosses is stronger than reimu. This is currently sub or 2nd extra or Trial Ex (This mod was released before full version)

As much as I love how creative the fans are, I can't help but think they're stealing ZUN's thunder in a way. When it comes to character designs the fans are schooling him, he could really learn a thing or two from the fans as his designs for the past few games have been slipping, it's like he no longer has that creative drive that he used to possess during the early days of the windows games
