    From Dandasana fold back the left leg in Ardha Virasana (Half Hero). Position the right leg in half lotus by maintaining your upright pelvis and bringing the right heel up and into the body, eventually touching the heel to the navel.
    Use a dextrous, dynamic swinging action to bind the lotus with the right hand. Make sure that you create clear connection that becomes a sealed mudra between your right hand and foot. Separate the knees until they form an 120 degree angle (quite wide), and then position your head and torso in a true vertical line over your grounded hips and thighs. See if you can place your weight evenly between both sitting bones
    and the left and right thighs.
    Place your left hand under your right outer thigh near the knee with the palm facing out (fingers facing in). Prioritize maintaining an upright vertical position over pressing your entire left palm down to the ground.
    In the state of the asana continue to maintain your firm earth connected seat, lift up the spine from muladhara at the
    base and spin the torso to the right. Imagine that the well placed hips and legs give the spine the urge to elongate upwards out of the pelvis, and then clarify your spinal rotation by revolving the navel, diaphragm, sternum, and head.
    Finish the rotation of the spine by clarifying the your steady gaze all the way to the right. Use the regular, easy breathing to continue to lower your center towards the earth and to elongate along the shushumna from the base to the crown. Breath along the central axis, squeeze the left kidney up and into the body and roll back the right shoulder to increase you twist.
