I live in what used to be the Harlech area. They changed to plain HTV with Wales/Cymru and West. Think they changed it because people found it difficult to pronounce Harlech. And there is actually a place in North Wales called Harlech. They had the best idents I think. The waterfall jingle with the tv aerial ident was and still is gold.
That ident used to be on a massive poster in Swansea train station to show people coming off trains from England which TV region they were in. I was only a kid back then but its amazing what you remember.

DarkLight753 "Harlech" has to be one of the easiest words to come out of Wales since... well... ever! But hard to pronounce? Probably not, unless you wanted to get fancy and pronounce the "ch" the Welsh way. Anyway, I always heard the main reason Harlech changed its name to HTV was because it sounded too Welsh and seemed to ignore the western England region it also served.
