- I'm building a prompt engineering community called GPT School! Prompt battles, coding challenges, live workshops, there's going to be a lot we'll need to learn to keep up with the fast evolving AI job market. AI for Finance, Sports Analytics, Fitness, 3D Modeling, Personal Assistants, we'll have enough projects to keep us busy for a long, long time. I've been looking for a way to engage with our community more consistently and getting everyone connected, and this is the best way to do that. It's going to take a lot but i'm looking forward to seeing you progress in your journey to become a Prompt Engineering Wizard. I'll see you in class!

Well, i hope this goes better than the last school you started
what happend with the last school? I like him but always thought everything is a bit cheeky, but there where no major flaws in what he said, at least to me.
@@blubberkumpel6740 Basically a lot of bad decisions. Probably due to a mix of inexperience, over-optimisme and a bit of greed.
He accepted more than twice more registrations than promised.
He put them in two separate slack workspaces to look like there was only approximately as many students as promised.
Hitting the 10k messages limit he moved everyone to Discord.
It was severely understaffed and students didn't get the personalized support they were promised but were instead getting the same generic video response.
There was no refund policy initially.
After two weeks, a refund policy was added, stating the refund must be requested in the first two weeks.
(The refund policy was then extended to before the end of the course.)
I heard people complaining that they were getting banned for talking about refund. (But maybe they were just too loud in a tech channel, I don't know.)
He scammed a bunch of people. This guy is a fake. He lied about doing original research. He wants to pretend like he is a big name in AI and ML but hes not. He parrots a bunch of info and most of his content is ripped off from others git repos.

There's no doubt that LLMs and other ML systems are going to be MASSIVE going forward, that they will actually shape the landscape of productivity. But i also smell a bubble that will burst really hard because i think there's a lack of strategy on executive level, lack of understanding of benefits and limitations, and a high degree of over-reliance and unwarranted optimism that the issues will all iron themselves out.
When there had been burst tech bubbles before, it's not that the underlying technology wasn't genuinely exceptionally useful; it's that there was too much hype, buzz and grift surrounding it. In general economic bubbles are characterised by investment that is rushed and unsustainable. And the ones who profit aren't the ones digging for gold, it's the ones selling the shovels.
interesting points. no doubt a bubble will burst but prompt engineering isn't going anywhere because AI will continue to evolve, which means we'll need to invent increasingly creative ways of communicating with it
Very cool. I have 0 technical skills (TS) but the future i see is ai making it possible for me to contribute my creative ideas to humanity and the world without TS. Id say 99.9percent of human genius is lost to time simply because people who have the great ideas dont have the skills to bring them to life and this is part of what makes ai so amazing is it means that with advances yes maybe people who can bring their ideas to life currently because they can play guitars, or sing, or code, or have money and qualifications etc dont have an advantage any more and maybe lose work, it is sad, but it also means that they will benefit from all the ideas and colab of millions if not billions of people and ai that wasnt possible before, instead of having to do it all themselves we can all do it and then we can build off that essentially time traveling into the year 20233, this is really going to explode once it gets off the ground we just have to bring it to a level where even our mums and dads could create something, at that point work will not be whats important we will have extatic lives of creating and changing the world via our imaginations
We are made of starstuff... The same way that we are all made of scam stuff.

Don't fall for traps like these. If he could assist you in building a successful bot like that, don't you think he could have built one for himself and earned a fortune? Learn from people who have academic qualifications or real world industry experience only.

Google has billions of dollars, the best engineers, and a brand that investors would trust when they spearhead their own AI, I mean dude, Google started the GPT craze with their publishment years Go.
yes it always recovers. glad you are doing OK. dude sam altman himself said no one has a moat in silicon valley, not even google. yes google started it all, but GPT makes google search obsolete and they clearly haven't capitalized on this tech enough. the inventor doesn't always become the businessman
You lost me at Lang Chain, if you’re such an expert, you should’ve known by now that Lang Chain’s added value is minimal at best, and a big waste of time at worst. Any mediocre programmer would’ve been able to program its functionality (the useful ones at least) with minimal effort and customized to her/ his needs without wasting a ton of time trying to learn it nor being constrained by its limitations.
Honestly you’d probably have more luck creating a scammers school.
