Jack Stauber is stylistically one of the most talented and unique artists I’ve ever encountered on the internet. I stumbled across some of his videos a couple months back and was instantly entranced by his bizarre visuals, wild emotive singing and interesting blending of stop motion animation, cartoons and computer generated graphics. What really impressed me about his newest project, SHOP: a pop opera, recently featured on adult swim, was the seamless blending of all the afore mentioned creative mediums, as well as the subject matter that he chose to write sketches and songs about. The project managed to somehow introduce several complex ideas about modern life, drugs and making decisions all while hiding under the guise of being an animated short about a man visiting the supermarket.

0:03 theres a secret on the bottom screen when it says “shop” but the intro ends. There’s a secret says “created by Jack stauber” just speed it to slow or just pause or just do both.
This is my favorite out of all of the shop videos
*_I too would like to have a cup of SELF-CONTROL_*
"Better to check than to reflect" damn thats deep. Love You Jack
This happened to me once.
I was actually looking for coffee grinds at a store, then this woman walks up to me and actually starts talking to me.. she was honestly a nice lady
“I cAn mAKe yoU feEl alIvE” ,”I know but do I need you to survive?”
this whole shopapopopera is an existential crisis

"i gotta go but i'll pray for your ears."
y'already know i stayed up for this
“wait,, is that clock right?”
“oh my god,”
“i forgot to pick up my son from daycare, *how in the hell did that happen? :D”*
This song may be about coffee, but it woke me up from my peak or cocaine addicton.
Thnx Jack for making this.
I would of probably still been lost without this art.
I honestly am glad that they hired him to be in AS becoming a legend
The song in this is my fav song out of all the other songs
One of the most beautiful pieces of art I've come across. Thank you Jack Stauber
"It's the flavor, it's the flavor you want"
*Proceeds to buy Decaf instead*
“Wow...they have hazel nut toffee light roast, I’ve never seen that before.” 😂
Me with
-energy drinks
-youtube vines
-social interaction
-impulse shopping
Huh..
I find the lack of people talking about the actual song in this comment section disturbing this song is honestly so amazing I absolutely love it and want it to be a full song
"Yup"
Just kills me.
Ever notice in the shorts the people he interacts with has the head shape of what he is buying.
Milk: The old lady’s head is shaped like a milk carton
Bread: The fancy dude’s head is shaped like the artisanal bread
Oatmeal: the schedule dude’s head is shaped like a bowl of oatmeal
Coffee: The coffee lady’s three strands of hair is like the steam, her head is like a coffee mug and the ear is the handle for the mug
Edit: I almost forgot Paper Towels: The Emo employees head is a roll of paper towels
Grungey, distorted visual atmosphere and cheerful and sweet music. I'm glad you liked this.
this is a song about wanting to become stale bread
Don’t think about about it too much. Just enjoy the art
@@aspvizn if they enjoy art by analyzing it and finding a meaning then let them, I like their interpretation
@@patrickmylifemyrules calm down my guy lol

I was lost in thaught about alcoholism and then this song started. That was trippy...
I like how these are all allegories for serious topics and yet they’re in the form of meme music videos.

I love how the lady can go from talking about how she forgot her son anlt daycare and then just go on to talking about coffee like her son isn't that big a deal.
"God, I need a refill..."
*"n e e d"*
His voice it so soothing
My favorite song of the shop.
I love coffee lol.
Coffee can be a metaphor for so many things it’s insane
It is a metaphor of whatever you're addicted to. Simple as that
Tiktok loves this song but they always leave the first half out :/
I actually can't stop watching this one. I think coffee is good but use it in moderation
This is me when I am addicted playing a game, but there is still school tomorrow
I find it hilarious that in every episode, the person that the guy talks with calls him death. lol
The message of this song: don’t overdo it, and if you like something a lot but it’s bad for you, you shouldn’t do it
*me at 12 when I first ever had coffee*
Song: *exists*
Tik tok: - coof coof- *take the song and leaves*
Song: *exists*
Comments: complains about tik tok for likes
wow a tiktok bad comment by someone who has probably never used tiktok for over two minutes before
Damn that was a catchy song, hope there is a full version!
@@TheAsh265 please update us if you've found it
This is my favourite song of all time in the whole wide world and I am serious. I'm not even exaggerating i love this so much oml
Song starts at 1:23 if you want to skip there
Love this 'Beavis and Butthead' cartoon animation style. Feels good
@Reagan thanks mate! Subbed
the transition between the different animations helps a lot too.
@TheCoffeeDrinker yes, I can hear it in this Shop Opera. It greatly complements the animation itself
