I’ve always been a coffee drinker, but when I got cancer it was suggested by my nutritionist to try decaf so I would remain hydrated due to the chemo. When I started medication to hopefully remain cancer free I thought I could switch back. But it made me feel really bad. Now that our favorite decaf has skyrocketed in price, and I always see you making tea, and talking about it, I thought I would try tea in the morning. I was dreading this, because the only tea I drink being from the south is iced tea. I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels to drink tea that most of it was foraged from our field, and the wonderful flavors, oh my. We have replaced our coffee time in the mornings with tea, and it hasn’t even been a week. I add mullein, raspberry leaf, tumeric, lavender, ginger and red clover and a touch of orange honey. I’m amazed at the flavor. This has been my journey to “Tea”. Thank you for sharing your garden life on your channel, your family is such an inspiration. ❤
TEA!!!! Love your sweet channel ! I have learned a lot about gardening and preserving from you and enjoy the way you edit your videos. Thanks for all you do to share your knowledge. 😊
As a little girl I learned to drink tea from my father. He was a police officer and it was very unusual for a big, tough cop to drink tea but he loved it. During his shift he would pull into our driveway in his police car and my mother would fix his tea, which had to steep for exactly 5 minutes. At the 5 minute mark Mom would flick the porch light on/off and he would come in to spend a few minutes with us and enjoy his tea. I’m now 50 years old and my dad has been gone since 1995 but he made me a tea lover and when I want to take a stroll down memory lane I’ll steep myself some tea leaves for exactly 5 minutes and drink it out of his favorite cup.
Nature, children, homegrown food... I know that homesteading is very difficult life, but your family is truly blessed by God. I have been saving every dollar I can spare to escape from the disgusting spawl of San Francisco to the northwest or midwest: no vacations, no random purchases, no wasting time... I just want a wife and family more than anything. I am sending you prayers during the harvest season and for a wonderful winter.

I have a preschool class of 20 kids. When it's the start of cold and flu season, I like to have a class tea party. We brew herbal tea for all of us and talk about all the health benefits of herbs and teas. I love it as a way to kick off the cold season with something warm and cozy and still educational.
Your videos have inspired and entertained and kept me company for almost a year now as I have been trying to regain my footing after some massive setbacks in my life. It's so refreshing to see real people living unpretentious lives. Much love to your family❤
I would love your tea! Your channel makes me happy. Every Monday, after her nap, my 2-year-old says, 'Let's watch Farmers and eat popcorn!' She has almost zero screen time, but your channel is so light and educational. We love looking at your homestead and watching everything you do - sometimes even twice! 😀
My tea routine is in the morning, when everyone is still asleep, I brew a peppermint-nettle-dandelion tea and walk barefoot through my garden and thank God that I woke up healthy. my most important ritual all year round. Thanks for this nice video, I like it when Michelle shares her tips. Have a good week.
When I need a mind relaxer, my go to is peppermint tea with a pinch of dried ginger and a pinch of licorice root, I also add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. I can’t help the escape of a well deserved sigh of contentment when I take the first sip. 😊
My favorite childhood memory was having “high tea” with my grandma. On my 10th birthday she took me to the “high tea service” at Ritz Carlton and I’ve never felt more fancy in my entire life! So much fun. I think about it from time to time when I’m having hot tea at night and just smile so big! Thanks for your hard work and sharing with us as always! 🥰
I LOVE a chai tea latte in the afternoon with a spice cookie. I am trying to grow Chamomile this year, and you’ve inspired me to grow more herbs and get a drying rack rather than dehydrating. Thanks for sharing all you do!
Tea for me is in itself something that calms me and comforts me. It means I have at least 15 minutes to unwind. You have encouraged me to plant new kinds of mint next spring and start making my own tea blends. Wish you all the best. From Russia with love
My daily tea is lemon balm, raspberry leaf, nettle, and oats. Then if I need a tea to wind down at the end of the night: leman balm and lavender. Love that you are making teas from foraging and the garden.
Someone from my church recommended dried oregano in tea when you're sick. My new favorite tea is garden dried oregano, fresh lemon juice and honey for a sore throat on chilly winter days.
Big tea fan here and so excited to have started growing my own wee little tea garden indoors recently! Love seeing your process and homestead lifestyle. My favorite ritual right now is to make a chamomile lavender tea latte with a smidge of coconut milk, vanilla, and honey in the evenings.
I love trying different teas and blends. As we head into the cold season, I love to enjoy a hot cup of tea with a good book to wind down at the end of a long day.
I grow a ton of peppermint every year. I dry it for tea, and drink in the weeks after Thanksgiving, and right through the Christmas and New Year holidays. There is something special about being outside during the first snowfalls, and then coming inside to a hot cup of peppermint tea. Definitely my favorite tea ritual.
I’ve been drinking tea for the last couple months pretty consistently. Morning I’ll make some chai or matcha and at night I like to drink something warm like chamomile I’ll usually make it then shower and come out it’s perfect and I’ll journal ☺️
Tea time is anytime after my morning coffee. I usually stick with mints and flower pedals. After living/working in Scotland for several years, I figured out why they drank so much tea. It's so Cold and Damp there. 😊
I am a tea girl and have watched you over the past year and a half dry your herbs and make your own teas. I have been inspired to make my own. I haven’t done it yet but have a few herbs I can gather.
Your channel has made me so much more interested in tea. I was able to find and grow four varieties of mint this summer. Apple mint is dried and in jars. Thanks for teaching me next year will be better.
My favorite tea ritual is very similar to y'all's! It's one of my favorite times of day. Watching a show before bed and cuddling with my partner and our cat!
I used to drink tea quite a bit. Especially during the cold seasons. Life got busy and I felt like I didn't have time for it. Now I have been trying to drink more. I struggle falling asleep at night, so that tea jar sounds relaxingly perfect. 🍵 ❤
I grew up drinking herbal tea with my mom before bed. I continued that on as an adult and now when have tea time a family with my kids before bed. It is the sweetest tradition and time of the day. We all know its the que to wind down. Sometimes we even do a read a loud during that time. I love that you grow your own! We grow lavender, but will add these others to our list for next year!
My favorite tea ritual is I bring tea in my lunch bag to work. I work 12 hr shifts and I will drink it on my breaks to help center myself and bring some warmth to the day.
Our family doesn’t have a tea ritual, but we do make our own freshly ground coffee with a pour over kettle. It’s a great morning routine to kickstart our day, so a night tea routine would be great!
I don't have a tea routine yet, but looking forward to it next year when I start my new herb garden...would love to have tea time with my little girl like I use to have with my mom when I was little.
I have more than one fav tea! I have an herbal blend of rose hips, dandelion, and orange peel. The other is cranberry, hibiscus, rose hip, and blackberry leaf! Thanks for doing a great give-a-way! We love your Channel!
My favorite tea ritual is making fresh lemon and honey tea for my daughter. It's a ritual she started with my mom and it makes her feel so cared for. ❤
Love tea at night once the weather gets cold. A chamomile or immune boosting blend is always my go to! Love your videos and tips for even those that don’t live on a homestead but are working on changing lifestyles with what is possible
I love growing herbs! One thing if you didn’t know is that herbs are good for your ducks and chickens. I add fresh or dried herbs to their feed every day. It keeps them healthy. You can look on line as to which ones are good for them! Love your videos!!!!!
Tea in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night. Can't seem to get enough of it. So many wonderful herbal teas to choose from, it's an ever ending experience. I love it cold in the summer and hot in the winter. I have so many favorites and I've made many different combinations that I just can't decide which one is my favorite. 🤔 🍵 I guess it kinda depends on my mood.
If you love tea, I would suggest you try Red Bush tea from South Africa. It has no caffeine & has so many properties, the same as green tea. I gave this tea to my babies, which assisted with digestion & colic. To this day my babies who are now in their 30's still drink this tea. Brewed with just a little honey added to the cooled tea, is great. I have been experimenting with a sleepy tea to relax. Would love to try yours! Thanks for sharing every thing you all do with us. Love the tips on gardening & growing veggies. I have 12 raised beds in my garden growing veggies in Richmond, VA. You have an awesome family & an awesome channel to watch!
I love fresh camomile and lemon balm tea with a slice of lemon in the summer, and I love adding rosemary, thyme, and orange slices to tea in the winter.
The wife and kids drink tea, after watching your videos for the past 7 or 8 months, I started getting them, and myself to try and make tea with what grows around the house. I am looking forward to trying some of the homemade ones we will be harvesting/ foraging in the spring.
I really loved having red raspberry leaf tea when I was pregnant and now to relax and wind down I will have tea occasionally. Your blend sounds amazing. I will have to look up apple mint that sound like a great new addition to my herb garden. My daughter and I love mint. Thanks for the suggestion. ❤
My favorite tea is making my own blend of chamomile, chai, hibiscus, and raspberry. It's a combination I stumbled across through trial and error over the last few years and I just love how it is the best of everything I've come to expect when I enjoy my tea. It's certainly not something I can get anywhere else, so of course that always makes me feel special whenever I have a cup. ❤️
My hubby and I love watching your family all the time. It’s been a while since I have drank tea. I also suffer from colon disease and stomach issues. I understand how you feel and also Gluten sensitivity.
My absolute favorite tea routine is lemon balm chamomille nettle and lavender with some honey and snuggling in some blankets before bedtime! I just started exploring mixing and growing my own teas and herbs. You have been a huge inspiration for me to learn about it instead of depending on store bought things!
tea I'm just starting an evening tea as the weather turns colder. this will be my first winter in the country in the fifth wheel. we have worked hard to insulate it, so hoping for enough warmth to make it all winter. would love to try your tea. many blessings, cher
My kiddos really enjoy your show and was so excited to see a prize coming for them. They saw Izzy do a flip off the dirt pile. For me... i enjoy a cup of Green tea in the mornings and occasionally in the evenings before bed. Right now that is all i can drink because of nursing my baby. But once she is weaned. Ill be going to my most favorite tea-meadow mint tea. It drains my supply i have found over the years with my other children so i had to switch. I am so interested in trying other teas and seeing if it would be something i would like to grow as i expand my garden to preserve more and buy less. You guys have been such an inspiration to me and help me press on through my learning and expanding of my garden. Thank you
I enjoying drinking a cup of tea in the afternoon. it gives me a feeling of satisfaction for the day. I grow four types of tea outside, all tasting good. I want to plant that "Apple Tea" you grow, it sounds good.
I was always a big tea drinker..my grandma on my dad's side was from London and my dad makes his southern sunshine tea everyday. He only wants sun brewed tea. it cracks me up! I've tried all kinds of tea but my favorite is Chai tea. it's just so soothing and smooth and has a cozy feeling. My husband is a coffee drinker so I've been trying to bring my sons to the tea side since they were little. They love Chai tea and my youngest is actually a pumpkin spice tea lover. It is so sweet when they ask mommy to make them a cuppa. In summer we do mint iced teas or creamy green tea and that's a wonderful way to cool off after a day in the garden. ❤
"Tea Time with God" every morning tea with prayer and Bible study. The variety of tea depends on the season and the needs of my body on any particular day. I grow a lot of my own teas, as well. Love your channel!! From a fellow Ohioan :)
Michelle, I so appreciate you! I just got my first garlic to grow and it needs planting and you showed me how Thank you. I like grated ginger and lemon tea.
I love a cup of soothing chamomile tea at night. It’s a time to relax think about what you got accomplished, and plan for the next day. I just started my tea journey about 2 years ago. Trying news ones is always exciting!! Love your show!!
I've always been a sweet tea drinker, but now that I've gone mostly carnivore, sweet tea is a rare thing. I do appreciate a nice calming camomile tea on cold evenings though by the fire! So happy to have found your channel! My wife and I are planning our move from the suburbs of South West Ohio to the countryside of South Central Ohio in the next few years. So happy to see a family living life as it should here in our home state!
My kids were very excited to see the flip off the pile of dirt! I love my peppermint tea with milk&honey, but since i am nursing I really have to limit it so i dont lose my supply.
We are just starting a large garden build at our new home to be ready for planting in the spring. I’d love to copy some of your herb ideas for homemade tea. Keep up the great work. “Tea”
I love watching you make your own tea, rake the garden, etc! I'm just a beginner, but I love getting out in the garden- it brings such satisfaction! I love herbal tea in the evening, but I've never made my own. My favorites are Celestial Seasons lemon zinger and sleepytime teas, but I would love to make my own!
Very inspired by all your tea growing! Hoping to grow more herbs and try to make our own teas next spring! And I’m on the hunt for some Apple Mint seeds.. sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing all your garden wisdom!
I LOVE a chai tea latte in the afternoon with a spice cookie. I am trying to grow Chamomile this year, and you’ve inspired me to grow more herbs and get a drying rack rather than dehydrating. Thanks for sharing all you do!
It is best to spray wilted plants to help stop transpiration. I know I suggested watering plants with more of a stream than a spray, however, as we homesteaders learn, "it all depends" on the specific situation. For root water, use a stream at sunset and on the soil, for wilting caused by transpiration, spray the leaves during the day. Victorian farmers in Europe had a method of spreading seed by hand. There is a skill to it. Fall planted garlic (as long as it is the correct variety) is the way to go. You can spread fresh chicken litter over the row and then mulch with leaves or straw. In the spring, spread fresh chicken litter pre-mixed with aged chicken litter over them when they are a foot tall. Nice herbs! I planted my cover crop, but we have been in a drought for two months. Nothing is germinating yet and the birds are digging it up. ☹️ The wells are low so I can't water. Rain barrels can only water a stream. Ugh! I have at least 5 different soils on the 3 acres I use to grow things on. Seriously. Drives me nuts. I couldn't take a blended soil sample. I've learned over time what can grow where, without serious amendments. That being said, you are smart to do soil samples. For most people, the results would probably show low organics if they don't add any organics to the soil. Your cover crop will help you there. If you run out of compost, simply rake up leaves and till into the soil in the fall. I make my homebrew tea in the morning because the stinging nettle helps my joints. If I drink tea at night I would be up twice in the night to let it out.🙄 In regards to your nifty gifty, that is a really nice gesture and I hope somebody other than me gets it because I am already set with teas and strainers.😊 I just processed chickens so my flock has been reduced by 45%. Freezer is well stocked now and the feed bill reduced. Young pullets are beginning to lay eggs now so there was no drop in egg production. Now I just need to train them to lay in the boxes. FWIW, I haven't processed my dried herbs either. Too many vehicle repairs to do. I'm off to replace a power steering pump now.🫤 If you give out free car repairs, then sign me up!😉 lol! All the best to your family.
I was raised in Montreal Canada so tea was a daily evening and sometimes morning routine. Now I live in Florida , I try to implement / continue this ritual as often as I can even on hot days. Always seeking new blends but I never seem to reach satisfaction. Hopefully I will be blessed with your unique gift and settle back into those calming moments once again. Thank you
My favorite tea in the summer time is mixing fresh mint with green tea and having over ice. I also love tulsi and lemon basil tea. I have been saving more herbs to try other combinations. Your sleepy time tea sounds good 😊
I'm a big tea lover. Three times per day. green with mint mid morning, a black tea or chai in the afternoon and Chamomile in the evening! Love your podcast!
Tea. I don’t have a tea ritual. However, I do think it would be calming and soothing for me. I enjoy your channel so much, and appreciate all you guys do. It’s quite inspiring. Thank you so much. God Bless.
Currently we only drink black tea sweetened with lots of sugar. But I am interested in growing tea that is more nutritious or has more benefits such as a night time tea. My oldest loves hot tea. Hopefully my spring garden will be filled with more herbs and teas!
Thanks for great inspirations! I am following from Denmark… cold and dark by now this time of year. For Cody and the compost…; I let my chickens aerate our compost… works great and just needed a relocation for the compost heap near the coop.., which also saves time tranporting old bedding.
I don’t have a tea routine but nothing beats a glass of cold garden tea in the summer!!! And i love the idea of an evening tea routine but have never gotten one started!
My granddaughter is an herbal Tea drinker she is a lot like you when it comes to Tea, looks yummy. I’m a first time starter at gardening no potatoes, my bell pepper plants did t make it my mini ones did though, got only 5 tomatoes, 3 banana peppers, no radishes, no zucchini, no watermelon, no pumpkins. I just planted butter lettuce a couple of weeks ago and those plants are thriving so I’m happy about that. Yall do inspire me not to give up.
I am more of a coffee drinker, but every now and then I get an inkling for tea at night. Hot tea in general is soothing and calming to me🩷 my husband is not in on tea and just calls it hot leaf water😆
I don't have a tea ritual, but I enjoy drinking chamomile before bed. We saw Izzy do a front flip! My son is 11, and daughter is 9 they said that he is very talented doing that without a trampoline 😊
Thank you for sharing your night time tea recipe. Helpful tips for sure as currently I have switched over from coffee to grocery store bought tea bags which are not as appealing as your homegrown tea which I aspire to make as you make it seem so simple yet so much more appealing. Something calming about holding a cup of tea and sipping so slowly. My favorite tea memory is when I was very young…guessing age 10 ish…whenever my sister or I were ill, my mom would bring us warm tea and toast in bed.❤thanks M❤M!
I also grew some Holy Basil, also called Tulsi. It is a very calming tea. It can be hard to find the seeds. I got them in an assortment of basil on amazon. Im hoping to find apple mint next spring. Blessings to you all❤
My favorite time for tea is as mid-afternoon break on a winter day. My 7 year old is growing a taste for tea too already. We’d love to get to try your blend!
I love chamomile tea. It's relaxing, but store bought. I did order chocolate and apple mint from Berlin Seeds. Beautiful plants. I'd love to trying growing my own tea. I grow everything organically. Great video. Have a blessed week.❤
I have always been on and off with tea, some I've liked, some I really just could not stand. However, after watching your videos now for almost a full year, getting inspired to start my own garden and grow my own food, what you've introduced me to has been absolutely amazing! I've been inspired to try growing many of these tea varieties at home to see which ones we might like. I'm always looking for more inspiration and methods for homesteading, and More than Farmers has definitely become my go to 😊
I’ve recently replaced my coffee addition with non-caffeinated tea. I usually alternate between peppermint or chai tea. The first few days were tough, but I feel so much better! Love your videos! So inspiring!
I love tea! For years I did peppermint, black, green, and green with lemon together. Now I mainly drink green tea with lemon and specialty pumpkin spice
I love tea. I have only started loving it since I have been adult . I have been learning a lot about all the benefits and trying to pass it on to my kids and husband.
My husband is a tea drinker and I’m looking for healthier tea vs what can be bought in the store. I’m a third year gardener and hopefully will grow what we need for tea next season.
That was an awesome front flip! I’m up in Canada, and found your show a bit over a year ago. I am so grateful that I did, you guys have inspired so much growth in our own gardens and I’ve learned so many new things. I really appreciate how relatable and down to earth you always are. Look forward to every video, it’s my time I like to brew a cup of tea and watch your show cuddled up with my puppies. Thanks for all the cute life moments you share with your fans!
I always enjoy watching your videos, it’s inspiring to see how self sufficient and resilient your family is, I know it’s a lot of work! I’ve heard it’s good to put water in with dehydrated dog food when you feed, to ensure your dog is getting enough water. Apparently more than 50% of dogs are chronically dehydrated! Why do you pull the entire plant out, roots and all? I’m taking a soils course and leaving roots in the ground is apparently better for soil health. I wasn’t aware of this and I’ve decided to clip the plant at the soil surface rather than pull the whole plant out. But you know how to grow lots of food so you’re doing it right😅
We make tea every night using various herbs from the garden--lemon balm, lemon verbena, basil, rosemary and more. It always evokes a grounding experience and relaxes us into a good night's sleep.
I don't have a tea ritual (yet) but we started growing mullein and making tea for upper respiratory infections a few years ago. This year I dried a bunch of apple mint and chamomile to try for tea.

OMG! I just got a cold frame. Your comment about it being a refrigerator and not a “grower” was mind-blowing! THANK YOU💕💕💕
If you love tea, I would suggest you try Red Bush tea from South Africa.
Drinking a nice tea in the evening is so relaxing. We enjoy your you tube channel.
I love fresh camomile and lemon balm tea with a slice of lemon in the summer, and I love adding rosemary, thyme, and orange slices to tea in the winter.
I love tea, and I very much enjoy watching your videos! I have a cup when I get home from work.
The wife and kids drink tea, after watching your videos for the past 7 or 8 months, I started getting them, and myself to try and make tea with what grows around the house. I am looking forward to trying some of the homemade ones we will be harvesting/ foraging in the spring.
I have started growing my own herbs for tea. It is so neat to grab it from the yard instead of buying them. I love this tea strainer!
My daughters aged 8&9 were very impressed with that flip! My family loves the show, we look forward to it every week. Keep up the good work!
Thank you
That was an impressive front tuck! Good job Izzy! I also love a calming tea! I am hoping to be able to grow my own as well!
I enjoying drinking a cup of tea in the afternoon. it gives me a feeling of satisfaction for the day. I grow four types of tea outside, all tasting good. I want to plant that "Apple Tea" you grow, it sounds good.
My favorite tea is peppermint. It really is soothing to me especially during the evening.
“Tea”
I loved how your kids are helping out in the garden
If I drink tea at night I would be up twice in the night to let it out.🙄 In regards to your nifty gifty, that is a really nice gesture and I hope somebody other than me gets it because I am already set with teas and strainers.😊
I just processed chickens so my flock has been reduced by 45%.
Your sleepy time tea sounds good 😊
Time for Tea! First thing in the morning is a lemon detox tea. Green tea in the afternoons. And nighty night tea before bed!
I love morning tea!! Wake up and drink it in the garden in the spring, summer and fall. Hibiscus Blueberry is my favorite!
I don't have a tea routine! It's something I need to start implementing! Love your channel!
That tea sounds amazing! I'm developing a herb tea garden & will definitely make sure these are included.
I'm a big tea lover. Three times per day. green with mint mid morning, a black tea or chai in the afternoon and Chamomile in the evening! Love your podcast!
I love to make a cup of tea(any I have on hand) and sitting on my porch when it's raining. It's so relaxing.
My tea ritual is around 3:00 pm. I need that afternoon cup of tea. Really love all your videos and always looking forward to the next one!
I love your channel! I am not huge into tea, but everytime i see you mention it it makes me really want to add some more herbs to my garden! ❤
I grow Thai basil that makes a delicious tea to sip while making supper. Your gardens are beautiful. Hope you have a restful winter.
I love to sit on my back porch and watch the chickens with a nice cup of tea first thing in the morning!
Not so much a tea ritual, but I really savor my morning black coffee.
I loved that one of my 4 sons is into tea like I am; such a awesome thing to share.
I love chamomile tea. It's relaxing, but store bought. I did order chocolate and apple mint from Berlin Seeds. Beautiful plants. I'd love to trying growing my own tea. I grow everything organically. Great video. Have a blessed week.❤
Love to drink tea in the evening! It helps curb cravings, especially for something sweet. Just a little honey is all I need if anything.
I like to mix regular black tea with a specialty tea. Then sit back and crochet.
You have me wanting to plant apple mint! I love mint in my tea. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
