In January of this year (2024) I took delivery of a ‘55 Nomad which I got in a trade. I’m guessing at least 30 years ago it got torn apart for new floors, rockers and tailpan. Then it sat. And sat. AND sat. It passed through 3, maybe 4, owners and never got put back together. My point? Time goes by SO FAST and you’re looking at your unfinished project(s) and then they never get done. My unsolicited opinion and advice is get rid of Nova’s 4 through 8 and concentrate on the ones you know you can get to the finish line. LOVE the channel, content, humor, etc. I’m still cheering for the 4-to-2 door conversion Nova.
Great Update! Thanks for the video. :) Have you thought about shaving the drip rails on any of your projects? I have seen it done on plenty of different cars and I've seen the finished product on a Nova but I have never seen someone show how they did it on a Nova. If I have an extra Nova without paint or 8.5, I might try my hand at it. :) Keep up the great work, glad you're back. You're the only guy on YT that actually has knowledge and shows the work for Novas.
You just keep making videos, I love all the Nova content. Still have my 75,and even had to drive it for a bit when my daily died. Can't wait to give her some attention, but for now life keeps happening.
Still an awesome collection though. Lot of potential! I’m waiting on Christmas to be over so I can start on mine. I still need a rear seat, but going to keep moving forward with it!
Great stuff. Love novas. I just Did a small block to big block heater core conversion, the big block heater core was 2” thick so had to shim it up a bit with foam on the ends of the core. Hope this will be ok. Needed to get the heater hose necks out further on the firewall cover to connect the hoses. Ever see this issue?
I need some parts for my 72 and where I live I can’t find anything. Been looking a year. If you have any parts you want to sell or anything I would like to have a shot at them. I look forward to watching your videos. I have always been a nova guy and just trying to make mine as nice as I can on a budget
@@Shop209 yeah I’m from guntersville Alabama. Just need little things like headliner bows and A and B pillar molding. But new it’s expensive! And they won’t sell parts just a whole parts car and most of the time it’s missing the parts I’m needing
You need to come to Barnesville, I can sell you car 9 and 10 for your collection that would land about 5 and 6 in your collection, one is a 71 Ga (2 door) car and the other is a 72 AZ (4dr) car with all good rust free panels, floor ,dash, trunk pan, quarters , no front end no doors. I need shop room.
Do you have a instagram or anything else I can follow you on? Gives me motivation to work on my 72 nova and I’m also in Georgia but you’ve got way more skills than I do at the moment lol😂
@@Shop209 I got nothin for front and rear, probably 75% of the side, and missing a chunk of the drip rail. I got a bunch of parts in a deal that got me 3 or 4 quarter windows, and 3 wing windows, I'm sure nobody will ever need as long as I got em
Is your "very soon" like my 'very soon' or like most people? I have a new appreciation for Novas now that I have been doing the Ventura. Its silly how easy it is to work on that thing, especially the header bolts for my Pontiac engine.
Hey, i have some questions.. do you have maybe some email or fb,insta to writte you what my problem is? And maybe send a video of the problem… tnx for answer and help

Yeah. I’m gonna do something to all of the ones I get rid of. Whether it’s a full build or minimal work. The 4 door is coming along.
Need to start calling you Doctor Nova!
Lol
At 18:07 that desk behind you is the cleanest I've seen it since you built it!! You really are doin some work out there😂😂
Thanks for the in-depth tour of all your Nova's.
Hey, jon thanks for making a new video . Good to see u again .. hope all is well with you, Godbless...
Thanks for watching

Thanks dude!! I have thought about it. Not sure I like the look. There’s a couple ways to do it.

Thanks!!
I have a 73 Hatchback SS I am working on. I am down to the painting part. I have been watching you for ideas on how to fix mine. Thanks for the help.
I have a paint video coming soon.
I like the Convo-Pros on #7. They really spruce it up.
I agree.
Those Novas are strong cars for sure. They just lack the flair that big brother Chevelle had.
Still an awesome collection though. Lot of potential! I’m waiting on Christmas to be over so I can start on mine. I still need a rear seat, but going to keep moving forward with it!
Yeah. I have 8 cars and 4 rear seats. Very hard to find

Hmm. Possibly a generic heater core from rock auto or something. I ordered one that I didn’t use because it seemed wrong. Found a correct one.

I’m in Georgia. Finding parts isn’t hard. Finding good parts is hard.

I know the struggle
I have a 1973 Nova Factory clutch wonder if you ever sell any parts
Not really. I still need all of my parts plus some to finish these cars.
@Shop209 well thanks a lot for the information and would it be okay if I contact you again with any questions that I may have
Absolutely. My email is in my about section of you can message me on Facebook.
Got me wondering if you could take all the rotten ones and make them into a good working one from all the original metal.
Ole Lucky Number 7.5?
Great video. Thank you👍💯👊
Would u palette rims and tires from your #7 car
Send the 71 to me!!! (Hey, you said to tell you what we think you should do) 🤣🤣🤣
Lol.
Just pick a couple and go for it! Better to be able to enjoy driving a couple of them than letting them set.

My email is on my channel about. Or message Shop209 on Facebook. We can talk. Barnesville isn’t far from me.
How about building a shop truck, like a Elco-style pickup or even a delivery truck Nova?…
I’ve thought about it. I have the 52 ford sitting in the shop. I also have a 76 ford panel van
If you build a "elco" of one of the novas you already have all the parts you need…☝️
I need a hood and trunk lid for 72
I had to buy a new deck lid. None of mine are good except on my nicest cars
@ what about a hood
Only good spare hood I have is a 73/74. I’m planning on using it.
@ ok thanks anyway
Where are you located?
Do you have a instagram or anything else I can follow you on? Gives me motivation to work on my 72 nova and I’m also in Georgia but you’ve got way more skills than I do at the moment lol😂
I have Facebook. Shop209. Just recently started posting more on there. I don’t post much to my Instagram. What part of Georgia?
@ I’m in blue ridge and followed your page on fb
Your half Nova looks more like a quarter 🤣
Lol.
The last one will probably still be done sooner than my Nova that’s 93% complete 😂
Lol. Get to work!!
Oh yeah, only 2 hours late.. here to learn , let’s go!
🤓👍
Ever have a SS nova?most seem like run off the mill novas.
I have but only one. It was a 73. Nothing special.
Why is it that 72 Nova always have way more rotted out areas than any other year.
Not sure but it does appear to be true.
I see a bunch of projects you've "started," but not so much finished.
By the way have a safe and happy holidays
Thanks! Same to you!
i like number 6
My 71 is real solid, and the miscellaneous parts she needs will probably run me a million dollars. LOL The window chrome trim is ridiculous in price
I have a ton of front and rear glass trim. It’s usable but costs a bunch to send of to get restored. Side trim I’m lacking.

I’ll be going thru mine soon. I ca. see how much extra I have
@@Shop209 I'd like to know why no rollers ever have front, and rear window trim
@@Shop209 What do you think of the Amazon $70 dash pads?
Full-time youtube fix them all up and sell.
That’s not rust it’s a butt load of patina
私のNovaより酷いです😅
I've seen worse

Lol. “Soon”.
