A towhead is a structure which is on the end of a bundle. A bundle is a multiple km long pipe which contains lots of smaller pipes/ tubes/ cables (hence the name). The bundle with a towhead on each end is floated to location and is sunk to the seabed. It typically connects subsea oil & gas wells to a platform over a distance of up to about 5km.
@@thepajbren No bother, the towheads are sunk, they function as manifolds on the seabed and will be there for the life of the system. m.ua-cam.com/video/yACf1g9Tx_c/v-deo.html

@@konackt Thanks konackt, I get it now. I take it the towhead isn't sunk with the bundle and can be re-used.
