I used mostly the dynamic log point in QA if any sort issue to be analysed. Debugging is ok but sometimes at run time what pattern of data is flowing helps to get to the root of the issue. So we can even use breakpoint extraction and set the log point for those specific code lines. And can analyse and preparing RCA helps. But yes not everytime i use only when handling certain complicated issues in QA or Production where I can't mke a code change. Hope this answers your question.
