This miracle of Christ matches up with the 1st plague in the Old Testament, which was God turning the water into blood. Even the water stored in the pots turned into blood. Christ first turned the water into wine and then at the last supper turned the wine into blood, followed by his offering himself, as God's only Son, firstborn, which symbolizes the last plague of the curse upon the firstborn sons. The Old Testament plagues represent the curses of God's wrath and the miracles of Christ represent the blessings of God's mercy and grace through His Son Jesus Christ. It is so complex and deep, and yet easy to understand, which in consideration of the time span of The Old Testament and New Testament that this stuff could not have been made up by human beings! One can look at the many wonders and complexities in The Bible just as one can look at all of creation of its wonders and complexities and ask "how can this be?" The most reasonable response in my opinion is God.

    • @Real_LiamOBryan

      @@ludyveronique From the Wikipedia:
The term doxa is an ancient Greek term (δόξα) that comes from the verb dokein (δοκεῖν), meaning 'to appear, to seem, to think, to accept'.[1]
Between the 3rd and 1st centuries BCE, the term picked up an additional meaning when the Biblical Hebrew word for 'glory' (כבוד, kavod) was translated by the Septuagint as doxa. This translation of the Hebrew scriptures was used by the early Church, causing the term to be frequently used in the New Testament. The term is also used in the worship services of the Greek Orthodox Church, where the glorification of God in true worship is also seen as true belief. In that context, doxa reflects behavior or practice in worship, and the belief of the whole church rather than personal opinion. It is the unification of these multiple meanings of doxa that is reflected in the modern terms orthodoxy[2] and heterodoxy.[3][4] This semantic merging in the word doxa is also seen in Russian word slava (слава), which means 'glory', but is used with the meaning of praise or worship in words like pravoslavie (православие), meaning 'orthodoxy' (or, literally, 'true belief', 'true way of worship') deriving more from the verb 'славить' - to praise.

I’m catholic, and I don’t see anything that contradicts catholic teaching. As Catholics we do focus on the fact that the Blessed Virgin revealed Jesus publicly by asking Him to perform the first miracle, that being said many are understanding Jewish understanding of some of the implications of what Jesus said and did, both Protestant and Catholics. This is why we have scholars who have focus his entire career and brining out the Jewish roots of a lot of our beliefs.

@@simplydanny if you think I’m saying that A Rood Awakening is contradicting Catholicism, I’m not…
I’m fascinated with the Jewish perspective.
Still, every time the church split, someone was right, someone was wrong, and maybe neither were 100% right or wrong.
It’s like the parable of the sower, repeated in the Gospels. Three seeds grew, but only one matured to harvest. Before producing fruits, they looked the same, with the same potential.
Jesus said many are called but few chosen.
Many are on the wide, easy road to destruction, but few find the narrow path.
In Paul Bunyan’s book, Pilgrim’s Progress, there were deviations from the right path.
My hypothesis is that church splits are deviations from the right path for many.

I wondered the same thing about doxa, so I looked for it in the NT and found that is translated as "glory" almost every time, often with unmistakable reference to splendor, honor, and exaltation.
"Righteous judgment," however, comes from different Greek words: δίκαιος κρίσις (diakaios krisis). See John 7:24, Romans 2:5, 2 Thessalonians 1:5, and Revelation 19:2 those instances.
I think if John intended for "righteous judgment" to be used in John 2:11 instead of "glory," he would have used diakaios krisis instead of doxa.

@@michaeljay4816 I think you misunderstood me, or maybe I'm misunderstanding your reply to me. Let me try to be more clear.
In almost every instance where doxa appears in the GNT, it is rendered as "glory" (occasionally it is "honor" or "glorious might"). I am unaware of any other Greek word in the NT that is rendered "glory." When "glory" appears in the NT, it is from doxa.
When I searched for "righteous judgment" in English in NASB95, I found those examples listed above. In them, diakaios krisis are the Greek words for "righteous judgment." Diakaios krisis is never rendered as "glory."
Summarily, "glory" and "righteous judgment" are from completely different Greek words, and equating doxa with "righteous judgment" in John 2:11 is (imho) quite inappropriate and inconsistent with other NT texts. "Glory" is correct and consistent.
That's what I found. And I hope that helps clear up any misunderstanding.

@@michaeljay4816 Incidentally, I would add that I found two things in my quick research that you might find interesting.
First, Rood has no qualifications or credentials for Bible translation. In fact, he lists no training in his own bio. I did find, however, that he was trained and ordained thru The Way International, a cult that denies the deity of Christ and teaches a works-based righteousness.
Second, the Corrected King James Version (CKJV) that Rood uses in this video is his own personal translation. He is the sole author of it. So he is not teaching from a reliable translation backed by credible biblical linguists. He is teaching his own fanciful ideas out of a Bible nobody officially validates.

@@earlysda why do you worship the King James Bible over all the Bible versions? The Septuagint was the "authorized" version of the OT that Jesus used when he read from the Scriptures. After his ascension the wicked Jews tried to "edit" them by changing verses that clearly spoke of him. But that task was too big, too many copies to edit. So they rewrote the entire OT; we know it as the Masoretic Text. So the OT went from Hebrew to Greek and then back to Hebrew and in that process it was "edited" to remove Messianic references to Jesus, and clear Scriptures that showed him as God the Father made flesh. The King James translators used the wicked Masoretic text almost exclusively instead of the older and more accurate Septuagint text. Why? Because there are people who love their "golden calf" named: Trinity. Now, if you truly love God with all your heart mind soul and strength, then you will ask the LORD Jesus about his "oneness," or his mystery of godliness according to him, the living word, instead of believe the men that loved Greek philosophy, which they used to pollute the pure faith with their paganism. If you can't see that the Trinity, which is supported by the King James version, is the mixing of poly (3 persons) and monotheism (1 God), then you are as blind as the Pharisees that wanted to stone Jesus for claiming he is God the Father in the flesh. Wake up! Your authorized King James version priests have lied to you. So REPENT and worship the ONE true God, Jesus , who is God the Father who is Holy and Spirit and in the process of time, became a man! The godhead is IN Jesus, but your lying priests tell you that Jesus is in the godhead. The exact OPPOSITE! So, if you refuse this biblical truth, then you will die in your sin of idolatry, just like Jesus warned the Pharisees.♥️☺️

Is your God completely limited by space, time, and matter? Mine is not. Jesus is God the Father in the flesh, this is what Scripture teaches. You mock this truth by saying stupid things like, "Was Jesus schizophrenic?", or "Was Jesus a ventriloquist, or illusionist?" In your pride you make yourself a fool by saying such nonsense. I say this in love mind you, but will you take it that way? No. So why should I be "nice" to you, you blind Pharisee, the one who mocks the God you claim to love? You will either accept the truthful witness of Jesus, or you will hate it and reject it. When Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father he said, "Philip, how long have I been with you and you still don't know ME?" Jesus didn't say, "him," he said "ME!!!!!" Further more, the blind Pharisees demanded Jesus tell them who he was, so he did. He said, "If you do not believe that "I am he" then you will die in your sins." Jesus's reference to "I am he" is that of the Father used in Deut and Isa. They knew that but they ignored it and pressed further. So Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am." Well, that did it! Jesus was going to have to be stoned for blasphemy. Why? Well, the Pharisees said why, because Jesus, being a man, claimed to be the one and only God of the Hebrews, the Father! They were so spiritually blind that they didn't even know their God was standing right in front of them, they only say a man! You are just like them. So REPENT and be saved by the mighty name of Jesus, which means: Yahovah (The Father) is salvation! Amen.

It is the text that tells us they have run short of wine. Miriam merely says, “They have no wine.” (“ὑστερή οὐκ ἔχουσιν”) Not, as quoted here, “They have no more wine.” She takes us to the last time they had no wine, as it was before Noah invented wine to relieve the curse of Adam. But the curse of work was passed to his grandson, Canaan, a name that actually means “servant” or “slave”. (See Gn 9:18-29) By their obedience, (“Do whatever he tells you”) the servants are released; the ancient curse is broken.
Messiah breaks the ancient curses, and seals each break with a miracle, as if to test or to demonstrate the potency of the break. Water (recalling the flood) to wine (recalling Noah’s relief of the curse) is particularly elegant.

Catholics are not Christians. The Catholic Church is a church of perversions. They have assumed authority of God on this earth when they are mere humans who are on this earth because they committed the grievous sin of treason against God in heaven. They are sinners like everyone else on earth. The sin was committed by man against God and it is God who decided to redeem us from the bondage of death by dying in our stead. (God is the benefactor and we are the beneficiaries. The benefactor does not defy the benefactor)
😮Man has no say in the matter of salvation. The only part a human being plays is to keep his part of the covenant. The Catholic Church has absolutely no authority to change anything. It is for this reason that the Bible warns that we should not make the slightest change. The Catholic Church has tweaked doctrines and force fitted their own thinking with that of God's. One example of this is the Sabbath Day. They have changed it from Saturday to Sunday. Sunday is the memorial day of God's creation. It was fixed right at the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Sunday is the Sabbath Day.

No, the KJV is not "holier" than other versions. However, it is one of the most faithful translations of the original Bible that we have in the English language.
      .
Personally, I believe the NKJV is even better, and the ALT (New Testament) is absolutely the best in English.

Thank you for your teaching. However, doxa means glory. How do you get judgement from this term?

    • @TH-1207
      @TH-1207 Рік тому

I think in the original Greek doxa means, opinion, judgement or view. I think Yeshua was expressing an opinion or passing judgement on the event.
Just as other words get used in new ways their meaning changes over time. Later it came to mean splendor, brightness, honor, praise, glory, etc. I don't like seeing words get treated this way. It confuses and obfuscates things. Over time the original meaning gets lost.

@@TH-1207I'd be interested to see that, because the same word and variation is used in John 17:5, "And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory (doxa) that I had with you before the world existed."

The word “Doxa” does in fact mean glory. The only time “doxa” was translated as “judgement” in any religious writings was in the book 4 Maccabees. There is a different Greek word for judgement, “Krisis”. If John wanted to communicate judgment, he more than likely would’ve have used “krisis”.
Also, not “EVERY” miracle Yeshua did was a judgement against the Pharisees as claimed in this video. Yeshua himself said about raising Lazarus from the dead and healing the blind man that these were to display the glory of God (John 11:4 & John 9:3).
I don’t believe you can make the claim every miracle was a judgment against the made up religious system (although some certainly did fly in the face of them), but every miracle did bring glory to God.

I once heard that of the 4 cups of wine which Jews received during the passover meal, that Jesus and the disciples only drank 3, and the 4th was drunk by Jesus on the cross because he completed the ceremony as the passover lamb. But I’m not sure how to justify this interpretation.

Amazing teaching. About the mary thing though the text actualy says "woman, what I have to with you" wich is a judaic expression of independence, Like "so what?" Mary was sayng that the party was over therefore was time to them to go and Jesus was sayng that he wold not leave "my time has not come yet", that is why she said to obey them
