TO ALL OTHERS, I CANNOT EXPLAIN THE FEELING YOU HAVE PLAYING THIS SONG AND CRYING AT THE SAME TIME. TRYING TO PLAY, KEEP YOURSELF COMPOSED ON PLAYING YOUR PART WITH A SPIRIT RUNNING THROUGH YOU AND SINGING THE WORDS...... YOU HAVE NO IDEA. THIS WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL MOMENT DURING MY TIME WITH "THE HUNDRED".
I have tears in my eyes as I listen to this and sad also at the same time at my people you do not realize who you are. We are the Israelites, yes, of the Bible. For our disobedience we were scattered to the four corners of the earth by ship (Deuteronomy 28:64-68. We were to awaken in the end times to remember who we are. I pray you all are awaken to this truth, as we must repent for our sins and the sins of our forefathers. And return to our Father’s Commandments.

This is why I am so thankful that my son is on Bass in the Incomparable FAMU Marching 100. More and more Colleges are now playing more Gospel. I love it
I first played this song with a mostly black praise band directed by a FAMU alumnus. He never liked how we played it - and i never understood why that was - until i heard this version. It is incredibly moving and emotion
FAMU has paid homage to God from the first band performance, up until today. The secret to their success has been Spiritual not booty shakin. FAMU is a personification of DOC.
Going to put a special request in when I get to heaven for God to feature the FAMU Marching 100 on the Streets of Gold! The band is a gift from God! smile!
Adewale1971 have you moved now. The return of Christ is drawing nearer. Don't just move for music sake, seek God, He can hear & help even where you are.
Having watched that on TV in Atl while in hs, then coming to FAMU and attending church in Tallahassee just to hear this lady, now great friend, sing this sing was amazing. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Why did I only find this 15 YEARS LATER!!! This is special. There’s a “take off your shoes for the ground upon which your are standing is holy ground” feel on this.
This song helped me through a super tough time when i was 14...i love most renditions of it but this was totally unexpected and awe-inspiring. Congratulations on all your success with this performance.
WHOO!!! Yes they did that! Give God His glory. Yesss. I love it. They had so much power and that soloist was a beautiful willing vessel! All of them were. Beautiful Beautiful.
MY GOD MY GOD..... THAT BAND IS SO ANOINTED MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM... GIVING THANKS TO GOD AND PLAYING HIS MUSIC IS SO WONDERFUL... AMEN!!!!!!
They need to play this song at the beginning of each semester and meditate on it daily. Make it known through out the entire campus. It is a part of the their motto.
every time I hear this song, I always cry because it is sung with so much heart and Holy Spirit. I cant even sing this song in church without tears running down my face...as I type this missive the tears are flowing now....glory to God...
I just saw a video of this marvelous young lady singing the National Anthem inside the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. and she was awesome! It was an impromptu serenade which ended in a huge applause from the other tourist! Amazing performer, who is also an Educator!
During the 80's and 90's and even into 2000 forth we were able to come together and marvel, be amazed even at a group of talented young people in a marching band not only with talent to play instruments but unbelievable vocals and ability to dance even. I miss that!! I pray that someday while I still have my being FAMU regains and surpasses that luster of old."Order their steps dear Lord".
So they just ahhhh.... My favorite gospel song and marching band!!! I can't. In a bit of heaven. If I could pick how I'd praise on those streets of gold it'd be like this. 💕💕💕💕 just too wonderful for words.
It brings me to tears every time I hear this song. My sister, who was a graduate of FAMU, recently left this earth to be with our Savior, her mother and father. I remember being in the audience when the band performed this piece at homecoming and crying because I was so moved. It was amazing to witness. I did not know who this young lady was at time but you could feel the power of her performance as well as the band. It is my prayer that the Father will order all of our steps in His word. We need Thee more than ever to guide us through an ever chancing world for You are always the same.
This is one of those rare performances that you can feel the passion of the moment even though its on film and not in person. Simply outstanding. Band, arrangement and singer were all impeccable
Go on with your bad selves! I am sitting here totally blown away with the power and the beauty of this moment. Ya'll are truly giving up the honor, glory and praise!

I Cried when i listened to this beautiful piece of art. From the Trombone, to Tuba, to trumpet to all the flutes EVERYTHING was beautiful.
Trombone was the bomb thanks to Prof Bing MAY HE RIP! HE loved this band, like it was his family!
