The b team would still beat us it's heartbreaking . The only time this season we put a 90 odd minute shift playing half decent football was up at st James park since then nothing my point is they can do it but they are just not putting the effort in before or since that game .They had the best running stats that Monday night and many other best stats the ones that actually matter so there's no excuse we can't see this effort every game. The coach is a joke but still no excuse for effort 100% of the time .
Loved your point about the demise of City reveals the true value of Rodri, I thought the same when I see a videos saying Vini Jr was robbed of the Balon d'Or recently... Think they were selling players with a bit of arrogance, assuming they would be fine - Mahrez, like you said is a massive loss, they goals, the creativity, the set pieces, they don't seem so potent at free kicks, maybe they aren't looking to draw fouls around the edge of the box without Mahrez and the injured DeBruyne in the team, Alvarez going was a mistake too, an amazing player to have as an option... I think it's a combo of all or must of the reasons the 2 of you mentioned...

De Bruyne is such an amazing player - him and Salah have ripped the PL apart for years and not really been given the acolade they derserve for it. They're both players that really do change an entire team.

Geo you have a very good nose for a prediction but I do think your Man City winning the Champions League is particularly out there! Their qualification to the next round pretty much hinges on what they do in their next game away against PSG, if they lose they do then have a favourable fixture on paper at home where a win may be enough. I get the reasoning that they'd be able to focus on it though. Winning it may weirdly be their best chance to qualify next season.
