One of the break through hits by the then newly formed Lukwata Guitar Singers in the mid-1980s. In the song, 'Taata' was played by Moses Katende, leader of the group. 'Nnalongo' was Katende's wife, Cissy Nakku while Livingstone Kasozi Jr acted 'Mpanga' in the same song. The trio had broken away from Matia Luyima's Kadongo Kamu Super Singers in the early 1980s to form Lukwata Guitar Singers. Matia Luyima's Super Singers group had also earlier broken away from heavyweights, Dan Mugula and Matia Kakumirizi, who led Entebbe Guitar Singers. Matia Luyima must be credited for unearthing Stone Kasozi in 1984 from the shores of Kiyindi where he part-timed as a fish trader with his father Livingstone Kasozi Senior while at the same time studying at Kampala High School. Luyima is the reason Kasozi left school in 1984 having sat his S.4 UCE exmainations. Matia Luyima also had Sebatta Fred in his group. Sebatta broke away at the same time as Kasozi from Super Singers to go form his own Matendo Promoted Singers which has since re-branded as Matendo Band. Lukwata Guitar Singers was later to attract Herman Basudde. With the death of Moses katende in 1988, Kasozi and Basudde assumed leadership of Lukwata Guitar Singers until they parted ways in 1991. Basudde went on to form Kabuladda Professional Singers while Kasozi rebranded as Lukwata Advanced Singers before renaming it kampala Music Stars on his return from Germany and USA in 1994. He remained the lead vocalist for Kampala Music Stars until his death on 20th May 1997.
