So, in a nutshell, object is WHAT am I going to do/doing/did. Intention is WHY, and circumstances is the rest of it.
A setup, and then a question.
So if the object is WHAT am I going to do, I can say "I am going to eat" to be the object. The object is not the thing itself, but me doing something with it.
But what if I expand that sentence and say "I'm going to eat xyz unhealthy food". So is the object of an act good?

So can you please explain to me what you believe the moral object is in an salpingostomy for an ectopic pregnancy? I’m in anesthesia and need help desperately.

This might sound random, but what would be the object of the act in the movie "Independence Day" when the guy flies his plane into the alien spaceship knowing he will die?

His object isn't to end his own life. Were it, the act would be evil in itself, regardless of its good consequences or the stakes in play. Would he have taken that action apart from the war against the alien invaders? We presume the answer to be no. Would he have preferred a survivable maneuver over the maneuver he employed? We presume the answer to be yes. So, his object is the destruction of the enemy, which is a good and just object, because the enemy is an unjust aggressor. The act is objectively good. -- Dr. Bulzacchelli
