I absolutely agree. The majority of us have the same problem. We can kneel down but have great difficulty getting up without support. Maybe that was the reasoning behind communion rails.
I have arthritis and fibroyagia I have no problem kneeling and getting up. There is a padded Long kneeler and a wide wood rail. What I can’t do is a full genuflect even with one hand on the pew.
I would love to kneel but I'm elderly and unable to. We have a new pastor and plan on asking him to place a kneeled in front so if someone wants to kneel out of love and respect of our Lord it's available to them. God bless you!

No one attending Holy Mass is that busy. SECOND, NO COMMUNION IN THE HAND! It fosters disrespect. Third, use the Communion Rails. KNEEL to recieve Our Lord, you will on your judgement day. Do all three, and belief in the REAL PRESENCE will skyrocket. It's at 30% now, a dismal testimony to our faith and catachesis since Vatican II.

The priest who pastored my home parish, who was known to know the most amongst his brother priests about all things Catholic, taught us it is redundant to make the sign of the cross after receiving communion. By the very act of receiving the Holy Eucharist you are uniting yourself with our Holy Trinity, One God. Your 'Amen' already expresses your belief.

I don't like bowing to someone's back . I usually wait until they move away. I've also had the priest try to place the Host on my tongue while I am saying "Amen!" It is a bit awkward . What's the hurry?

When I was younger we received communion by mouth on our knees, the Devil changed it to the hands, check out what Fr Amorth says about that, so get back on your knees and show the Lord respect!
