I have autism, although mild. For me it takes a lot of things building up to prompt a meltdown. When, very rarely, I do have one I know it can be hard to witnesses. I usually try to remove myself and seek a place to be alone. I will hit my head with my hands if it is really bad and I don't want anyone to see that. It is terribly embarrassing.
Autism isn’t an excuse for poor behavior, physical, mental or verbal abuse.
