Disneyland Paris - Mickey and the Magician (Mickey et le Magicien) - Aladin

Mickey et le Magicien est à mon sens l’une des plus belles réussites de la division spectacles de Disneyland Paris ! C’est même l’une des meilleures attractions de Disneyland Paris ! Il met en scène Mickey dans un atelier de magie à Paris, au début du 20e siècle. Celui-ci, curieux et espiègle, espère devenir un grand magicien, et pour cela, il découvrira différentes formes de Magie avec de célèbres magiciens Disney. Marraine la Bonne Fée, Lumière, le Génie, Rafiki et Elsa lui feront ainsi découvrir la Magie à leur manière à travers des tableaux colorés et rythmés !
Avec ses scènes et chorégraphies toutes plus entrainantes ou émouvantes les unes que les autres, Mickey et le Magicien plait à toute la famille ! Bonus et pas des moindres : le spectacle utilise de nombreux effets et illusions d’optiques dont je n’ai d’ailleurs toujours pas percé le secret ! La scène de claquettes avec le Génie est - bien des années après l’avoir vue pour la première fois - toujours ma préférée !

Mickey et le Magicien : à savoir en 2022
Annoncé pour les festivités du 30e anniversaire, Mickey et le Magicien devrait faire son retour à partir du 6 mars 2022. Dans le contexte sanitaire actuel toujours difficile, l’accès au spectacle pourrait être différent de celui que nous avons connu jusqu’à 2020. Aussi, petit rappel :

Présentez vous au moins 30 minutes avant le début du spectacle
Les horaires seront disponibles sur place et sur l’application mobile de Disneyland Paris
De mon côté, j’ai super hâte de retrouver Mickey et le Magicien au Parc Walt Disney Studios ! Ce spectacle a un vrai charme et une émotion attendrissante qu’on ne retrouve pas ailleurs à Disneyland Paris ! Mickey and the Magician is a live stage show that premiered in "Animagique Theater" at Walt Disney Studios Park since July 2, 2016.[2]
On March 12, 2020, Walt Disney Studios Park announced that all live shows were suspended and temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak on France. However, following Disneyland Paris' reopening, Walt Disney Studios Park announced that an updated version of the show would return on April 23, 2022, as part of Disneyland Paris' 30th anniversary celebration.
To illustrate this return to where the magic all began, the creators draw inspiration from the great illusionist Georges Méliès and the famous magician Robert-Houdin. This is not a traditional magic show. The illusions will form the basis of this brand new story. Disneyland Paris has called on the acclaimed magician Paul Kieve to create these illusions. Paul Kieve said that it’s hard to think of the word ‘Disney’ without also thinking of the word ‘Magic’. He became fascinated with magic when he was 10 years old and was always inventing ideas in his head. One of the great things about working on ‘Mickey and the Magician' is that I can bring some of these ideas into reality![3]
This 28-minute musical show is set in a great Magician’s atelier in 19th century of Paris, where the assistant is no other than a certain Mickey (with an articulated head) is given the task of cleaning up the room at night, Tinker Bell has spread a little stardust. When he is given the task of cleaning up the atelier before sunrise, the young apprentice gets distracted! Nothing turns out as expected.
Mickey finds himself accidentally transported to the most magical worlds, featuring Cinderella (Fairy Godmother, Cinderella), Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere, Belle, Beast), The Lion King (Rafiki), Aladdin (Genie), and Frozen (Elsa, Olaf).
Finally, Mickey becomes the hero in this incredible show where illusion is key and the audience find themselves plunged into a world of magic and delight.
