I have been looking for a pincushion pattern for ages so thank you for this tutorial. Kathleen. Woking
I also use ground walnut shells to fill pin cushions and they work well. Sound good, too! but I put them into a liner first - just in case …… 😀
Thank you so much for this nifty little idea!
Hello! I hope you were able to have a wee bit of fun today! I was trying to sew, chatting with my daughter and playing with my granddaughter today. I now glad to be sitting and watching your video. Thank you for posting this and your time.
Lovely idea! I would use a mix of lavender and the walnut shells for the best of both worlds. Have you thought of turning the centre pouch 45 degrees and having it cornerways? It would give you a bigger bit of pouch to aim at with the pin!
Loved this project! I enjoy your video and will love catching more of them!, I also love your accent!

Hi, great idea. Could you tell us how heavy the pincushion is please? Just to get an idea of how much of the filling to buy. Thanks.
How long is your needle? I love this video, thanks.
Is there a recommendation for a particular type of thread to sew the three pincushions together? A strong Quilting thread?
Does anyone know what fabric was used for this?
Hi Susie, Sadly this was quite a while ago now, but we have found similar fabrics here;
