Navy Fed has reduced atm fees at some out of network atms. To the tune of $1 in some cases. Excellent customer service 24/7. FDIC and more…I feel money is in good hands at Navy Fed Go Navy Fed!
@@Successwithstephensmiththe problem with that is I can’t dispute the CUs that actually accepted me. Those still are causing a problem with getting new banks
Yes, but some CU’s require affiliations that aren’t open to everyone and others have requirements that allow anyone to become member under (x) conditions. These stipulations are drastically different types of requirements.
It all depends on your credit profile, you really can’t have any derogatory information. Once my credit score was high enough and I removed all negative information from my report, it was easy to get approved for almost anything. If it seems hard there’s probably some things you need to look at. Read the letter you get when you’re denied they’ll explain everything and you’ll know what needs to be done.
I’ve been with PenFed 2 years & also Navy Fed 2 years & I have a 13k & 18k credit card with navy fed, I started out with NRewards card & secured loan for a year & now I have auto loan, credit cards & business acct with navy fed.. PenFed still keeps denying me a credit card. Even though I’ve had a share secure loan for 2 years with them paid 90% off. Still they keep saying too many installments loans, like my car note & personal loan with navy fed & DCU ., & past bankruptcy. So yeah navy fed still took a chance on me !!! I’m also with Langley & First Tech & they also denied me after being with them 9 months ! It only took navy fed 5-6 months to trust me with the nrewards card it graduated after 6 months & then after a full year they pre approved me to apply for the cash rewards & Amex card which are my highest cards 13k & 18k Ang I’m coming up on my 120 days end of this month so I’ll ask for credit limit increase through the app like I always do with no hard pull, I usually ask between 5k-8k Ang they usually grant it! 😊
Ive noticed a big change with Navy Federal since I’ve was active duty and retired in 2019. I hate to have to say it but they are definitely on the down side with me now!
I have no allegiance or emotional connection to any single credit union, bank, or any financial institution for that matter. They’re all just tools to reach a goal. Hopefully you find some products that will suit your needs from these other options. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
NFCU lost my truck title then wanted me to pay to replace it. It took weeks of fighting to have them cover it. When I was in the military and needed an emergency loan to repair a car, I had to turn to the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society as NFCU wouldn't help. They were late on my 2nd mortgage closing by weeks. Their overdraft protection for Active Duty members is predatory at best. They take your entire paycheck and then deposit the left over rather than take what's due. This can result in more fees because of the order deposits/debts are processed. Their new website/app changes were rolled out well before they were ready. Just to name a few things to show they have been staying from their mission....
I'm a member of both pen fed and navy fed... Pen fed seems to cater to folks with 690 + credit score 🤷🏽🤔 pen fed is harder than ballz to get high limit credit cards... Pen fed is hard
@@Successwithstephensmith Absolutely! Building a strong credit profile is about more than just your score it’s about demonstrating financial responsibility through the details on your report. For example, aged accounts show lenders you have a history of managing credit over time, while low utilization indicates you’re not overly reliant on credit. A diverse mix of credit types, like revolving accounts (credit cards) and installment loans (auto or personal loans), adds balance and shows you can handle various financial obligations. Plus, having no negative marks, such as late payments or collections, is crucial for keeping your profile clean and appealing. Here’s a scenario: Imagine two people, Alex and Jordan, both applying for a credit union auto loan. • Alex has a 700 credit score but a thin credit profile with just one credit card that’s been open for a year, a 50% utilization rate, and no installment loans. • Jordan, on the other hand, has a 680 credit score but a stronger profile with three credit cards (all open for 5+ years), utilization below 10%, a paid-off auto loan, and no negative remarks. Even though Alex has the higher score, Jordan is more likely to be approved for the loan with better terms because their profile reflects greater creditworthiness. This highlights why gardening focusing on aging accounts, lowering utilization, and maintaining diverse and clean credit is key to being seen as a low risk borrower. It’s not just about your score it’s about the story your credit report tells.

Hey Stephen love your videos bro, why does it seem so hard to get your first business credit card

Brother Stephen what do you think about AdelFi!??! Should break that one down. It's a faith based union, and I didn't even know it was around?
I’m not familiar but I’ll definitely check it out!

I like the auto loans with PenFed a little more but I agree it does take a little more gardening to get approvals. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
I’ve had the opposite experience. NFCU doesn’t give me squat, however PenFed gave me ridiculously large limits - over half my yearly income.

I'm sorry but that navy fed pre paid go can't be beat! No competition 🤷🏽 these credit cards can't compare
I do like that prepaid feature it’s a very good tool! 🙌🏾
Apple FCU has a nice line of credit. Low interest rate with high limits. Faster liquidation than the Prepaid Go.
