Just an interesting fact: In Korea, they calculate age differently. When a baby is born, they are automatically considered one. A baby born on Jan 1 2020 and a different baby born on Dec 31 2020 would be considered the same age: one.
If the baby born on Dec 31 is considered one in the year 2020, then the very next day of Jan 1, 2021, that baby would then be considered two, even though they were born only the day before and is only two days old. It would now be considered two years old because it would be alive in its second year (2020 and 2021 is two separate years). Does that make sense?
With that said, you will often see Jungkook referred to as joining BigHit and becoming a trainee at 15, but that is 15 in Korean age. In international age, he was only 13! What a baby! Basically, he was born Sep 1, 1997 and became a trainee in April 2011. In April 2011, he was 13 years old.
BTS then debuted on June 13, 2013, so he debuted at 15 years old (17 in Korean age).
Just remember that every time BTS mentions a 15 year old Jungkook, he was really 13! A baby!
He was really so young and it’s nice to see how humble he is. Also crazy to Imagine how Taehyung was 2 years old when he was actually lived for 2 days 😅 Because his Bday is on December 30th
Just to add to your statement with slight correction....its not as they are born they're considered 1yr but rather 9mths to which afterwards they have a celebration called 100 days to officiate the child surviving 3mths outside the womb and becoming1 year old (9mth+3mths=12mths). So for tae and jin born in Dec their 100 days wud celebrated in March which seals the 1yr birthday as its after chinese lunar new year calendar which Asians follow rather than us gregorian calendar of Jan 1st.
Secondly, for the other members say hobi...his birthday is Feb...Yoon in Mar....their 100days wud May/June respectively. They are 1year and as soon the year turns they are considered 2years where in our calendar they now becoming 1year old. Same follows for Rm and JK....1year in Dec...2yrs in lunar new year...Jimin wud follow same format as tae and jin since his falls in the new year and yes he still considered hyung to tae tae even though it's a few months but in that he turned 1yr before Tae...

Armys have this saying "You find BTS when you need them the most" and I think that is true, I found them when I was struggling with depression and listening to them and seeing how hard they work, how vulnerable they are sometimes motivated me to do the same and become better. I changed my university major to what I initially wanted and started to work harder for my goals and slowly I started to reach each one of them step by step. They were my catalyst so to me and I am pretty sure to most of ARMYs, they are more they just our favorite musicians, they are family and we always want the best for them and happiness.
This is why ARMYs are so protective of BTS

So the members of BTS are from more rural areas while the group is based in Seoul. So that alongside the fact that as idols and trainees most of your time is spent practicing they don’t get many chances to see their family (especially once they debut) due to their BUSY busy schedules
Just want to add info, idols and mostly trainee can't go to see their family as they want, its part of the contract cause they have to practice all day long and night like everyday, so they didnt have so much time for family and friends,so thats why is so hard to become an idols
Also they are often overseas, for instance for touring... They get days off sometimes to see their family though

Jimin who had always being strict to himself with diet/practice is now learning to be easy for himself. Sometimes when jimin made mistake on stage, he'll laugh and act silly about it (he's not being strict with himself anymore). Plus, ARMY also enjoying his silly act on stage and loving that side of him which is great. He also stop from diet and eat a lot, also called himself "mochi/dumpling" bcuz of his chubby cheeks. He's now embracing his own beauty 💓
Taehyung also became more confident that he doesn't care if he eats alot or gain weight. he doesn't care about what people say about his appearance & said he wants to grow beard too. He learn to not keep the burden and problems to himself and said that he's sharing his concerns with other members and ARMY. ✨
Namjoon also now seems more peaceful and always exploring the nature and went to museums. He had his own Bonsai Tree and taking good care of it by himself. He often visit lots of art exhibition and museum, read lots of book, and always share his experience/story with ARMY in live broadcast, like a diary 😊.
There's really lot of improvement in each members in terms of skills,talent and more importantly emotions/health. Some of the members also gaining interest in new hobbies like photography, filming, collecting figures/toys, drawing and many more. This show that bts is enjoying their life by now 😊 Ofc there's more obstacles and hardships will come but at least we know that bts is now solving their problems in a better way,,which is self-love 💜

I think when Jungkook said that "it didn't feel great to graduate" he meant that he's already growing and entering maturity, more burdens and struggles come once you finish school. I say this because I experienced something similar, so I think he could refer to this in some part.
Also you guys should react to "why BTS is treated unfair in Korea?" and know more about their story and struggles in their own country.

jk was actually 13 in american age when he debuted so he was a baby! had to graduate middle and high school with bts while being an idol ..mustve been so hard for him :( jin also had to graduate from college while being in bts and he used to drive and pick up jk from school everyday like an older brother . they really are family.
He was 15 when they debuted. He was 13 when he became a trainee and yeah he was a baby. It must've been hard for him. But everything paid of and look where they're now. As an ARMY i'm sooo proud of they're achievements💜

Usually idols don't go to their hometowns. More like they can't, they have overpacked schedules TV shows drama shootings events concerts fanmeetings etc. Kpop idol lives are hard, man.

love K&R this is true. Being an idol in korea is really something different from being a celebrity US. Their trainee life and idol life is really heavy.
To simplify idols are expected to give there ALL to the company. That means freedom,time,health,loyalty, you name it. I love my boys but even they had to overcome the idol life and still suffered cause of it.
For example alot of people think BTS is living it up but they don't notice that they had to make one hell of a climb to be where they are. Idols for one you don't make real money until after they have paid EVERYTHING back to their company. Unless the blow up big time and I mean BIG some may spend their whole career paying it back. In the case my BTS boys this meant things were hard as they came from a company that had NOTHING. They had to not only work with nothing, they had to make everything and still payback knowing that they had to raise up an entire company. People tend to forget that they made that climb with the hundreds turned thousands of workers that their success created a job for. And that's with all the extra bs that comes with fame added to that stack. Oh throw in the Worldwide bs they have to face today. I'm surprised those poor boys haven't broken. 🥺 But hey to be loved is to also be hated🤷♀️.

Yes, the members live in different places in korea and its really hard for them to go back to their family that is why BTS has been living together for more than 8 years now in Seoul, usually they only get to go home and visit their family whenever they're on vacation or when they don't do much promotion and maybe they have might have some free time then they'll probably visit their hometown. BTS are literally a family now, they are still living together in a apartment, and they all said they still want to continue stay together.

I’ve been feeling very depressed lately I’m very stressed about money right now and my depression has come back full force. But watching y’all’s reactions is making me feel a little bit better. And it's OK to be tired of ALL THAT EFFORT, trying to 'be positive' (for goodness sake!), and just to REST. Sometimes depression is exhaustion! so be gentle with yourself, and take life step by step, celebrate any achievement, however 'small' it seems - and however 'small' the celebration.

Just want to add about rules as an Idols. In KPop Idol industry it is known that these idols have to follow certain rules. Such as, they are not allowed to date, they have to avoid scandals and they have to be at certain weight. That is imposed by the agency. However, I doubt Big Hit is that strict when it comes to certain rules, not sure about their contract. But other Korean companies do still have those rules. Also, I have a request...please do a reaction to BTS Songs meaning Explained by Korean made by DKDKTV. The video is interesting and I finally understand some of the songs because reading translation itself sometimes u dont get it if you're not from Korean culture. Thank u ❤
There is nothing in their contract not allowing them not to date. The boys chose to focus on their career. However BigHit doesnt allow the boys to take photos with fans (unless arranged by the agency at platforms such as fan meets, or photo sessions). And they must tell the company their movements.
bts have no dating ban they just choose not to or just dont want to make it public
I'm talking about idols in general 😊 maybe because I'm a 2nd generation Kpop fan..so back then it was a big no no..not saying Big Hit and I've seen many idols nowadays announced their dating news.. so it was more accepting now compared to 10 years ago.

Irenes Psycho i heard all of them bought their own million dollars aprtment. Some says they go to their own when they dont have a packed schedules but they still stay at the dorm. Bon voyage 4 showed their dorm.

Interesting fact on kpop industry is when they are trainees they literally practice almost the 24 hrs of the day. So they don't go home and They don't use them cell phones and if they used them the company check de contacts they call and text
Now you can see why BTS are loved so much, the let you in their lives. They share their struggles, hurts, depression, desires and happiness. How many”Superstars” do we know do this? They started recording even before debut and continue to do so on VLive, Run Episodes, where they do challenges, hilarious, Bon Voyage, and so much more. You feel their sincerity and we know we can relate to each other. I have been ARMY going on three years, and I am 63 years old. I get just as excited when something new comes out, a commercial, on a talk show, red carpet interviews, and don’t even get me started on their Comebacks, as anyone else does. I watch hours of Reactions because I love to see their reaction to something that you know is “coming up” in the video. Well, I have rambled in enough. I am so looking forward to your first BTS Concert, keep going.💜🇺🇸

When I watched this, the first member who spoke, I already cried because I knew from their struggles, hardships and teamwork and trust they are now legends...I didn't love bts just because their handsome or they're famous, I love them because they are Them. Right now on the age of 14(7 years army and still counting) I will always support and love them until my last breath.They are the reason why I fought depression and they are the reason why I still want to live.O m g. I think when they say "idols shouldn't have rules" it's about idols in particular, not just celebrities in general because being a k-pop idol in Korea is way different from just being famous, they could literally be hated on for dating or even gaining/losing weight._. and they need to follow very strict rules and instructions most of the time so yeah

The thing about practicing 12 hours is only before a comebacks. They clear the schedule for a month or so before comeback and practice a lots of hours.
But they don't practice 12-16 hours all year long

I think as they get older, when touring slows down, they could still stay together and start their own creative company together. Rival the big 3. Making it more nurturing and supportive for trainees. Who better to be mentors and guides in that industry. All this while still pursuing their strengths and passions like writing, composing, singing, acting, dancing (choreography) and film making. All under their own production company. How cool would that be. And once they stop being idols they can become people with private lives to go home to.

When your parents say that they're proud of you it's one of the greatest feeling. When my parents told me for the first time that they are proud of me I felt a burden just life of me, I just start to feel content. I love bts they are great that's why I gravitate to them and they music so much

I love the way you guys try to portrait them and reacted about our dearest BTS. Thanks a lot. , something I wanna say though, The members don’t have Gf’s . Jungkook is the youngest, from the beginning he was very introvert to a point that he cried when he was ask to sing and even avoid cameras . But he is a very hard working kid. And like he said, he is a manifestation of the different qualities of all the other older members of the group. Our golden maknae is a very emotional, and loving grown up now. And he is just good with everything he does ,but it doesn’t come just like that ,he work so hard for it. A very fine man Jungkook. Jin the oldest was just at first recruited because of his handsome face. According to their video, he is not good at singing and dancing at first but he worked so hard with the help and support of the members he made it , being good dancer and singer and the funniest member of the group. I mean his humour is top notch. If you look for some videos you can find out some idols giving praises to his good character. Rm is just genius and born leader. Sugar is an introvert and not showy of his affection but inside is soft . All the members are just amazing, I’ve been an army for a long time and their videos from run BT’s to just any videos they have is like a lifeline for me in my lonely alone days. You will learn more about how amazing all the 7 members as you watch their videos. Thank you for supporting BTS . YOU BOTH ARE AMAZING COUPLE AND REACT. KEEP IT UP. ENJOY THE JOURNEY.

It really is true that people hide their emotions. For 7 years I constantly did that and even was rushed to the hospital almost 3 times a month, but when anyone asked me what was wrong, I would tell them "nothing" and put on a fake smile. Thankfully I'm not like that now.

They actually live together since their debut. Because they from different area in korea the company rent them an appartement for everybody so they had to work and live together. Event now they still have one appartement for everybody and as far we know they still live together. Some members bought personal apartments but they sale it few month after or give to their family. In September 2019 they get their first official vacation and when they came back together they said they missed each other. Jimin even said : i traveled with some friend but i realise im more confortable with them, they are like my family.
okay, i just want to say the opinions and the insight you two gave during this video was amazing. you were giving great advice about life and life lessons. I think some of your insight was so thoughtful and helpful. You never know someone might watch this video and something you said might inspire or motivate them today. I hope you are able to give your viewers more compassion and positive insight in your other videos. I suffer from mental health and bts quite literally came into my life in 2017 at one of the darkest points in my life. Their music is so amazing and inspiring but it is their speeches, words of wisdom in the notes, tweets, and videos they send to us that really helped me through it all. Just like in this video you put a great positive message in the world and how bts puts out a message of hope and preservation in the world I hope we all could do the same for each other. In the world we live in today we all need to have moments of uplifting each other so that we can all as a whole become better people. Also p.s. yes they have a therapist and a few of the boys have mentioned see them I am so thankful they have the support of professional help

Last year in the 6th grade I was very depressed and I gave up on school and I was ready to give up on everything! I faked a smile everyday in school & at home...💔😢I felt that I was stupid & that no one really loved me even though they did. I thought I was fat & ugly!💔💔 But,then I found out about bts & I watched thier videos and read thier lyrics and it helped me find happiness which I thought would never happen!💜 Thanks to them I'm happier & I'm finally starting to love myself!! Bts inspire me everyday weather it’s staying positive, having fun or them telling us their story and giving hope. I also fell that bts has had a positive impact on me even if I am not going through a tough life, because of their sincere attitude which inspires me and makes me feel more aware. They make army feel close to them through sharing some their deep thoughts which can be really hard to do.
Bts themselves decided that they want to live together, they live in the most expensive apartment in Seoul, despite the fact that they can afford a flat separately because they have their apartments bought but do not live there separately, they will think that it is better for them. No one can see their family because they live very far from each other and bts are still on concerts, they generally work practically every day. The interview is quite old. They are young there at the beginning of their careers. They probably have more confidence today and have found more peace. They are very sensitive, they love their families and are very connected with them.
When I'm older I want to be a K-pop idol but... I don't have any talents yet so I always try to find my talent. But in the same time I don't think I'll make it because since I'm Hispanic and I don't really know how to speak Korean or know about their culture,also I don't think my family will support especially my sister's and my mom. But every time I see BTS hardships and their past it kinda gives me hope for being a k-pop idol,and their music teach me how to love myself because I have also been battling with depression of people making fun of me for being Hispanic and hearing k-pop. So, I can really relate to BTS. And people that are reading this and can also relate to me or BTS I just want you to know never give up, don't listen to haters and just be you because if you do that you can be so successful like BTS they started off as nobodies and now they are so popular and successful so,never give up and if you need someone to talk to you can always come to me and talk about your problems. I never watched that JK graduation log but I’m assuming the reason he didn’t feel too great about graduating is because idols who debut while still in school often don’t go to school for the most part once they debut.
They may go a handful of times throughout the year, but they’re main priority has now become their job (no longer school). For this reason a lot of idols who debut at a young age either drop out or don’t continue their education (until much later in their career or after the group disbands).

Imagine jungkook was only 13 (intl age) being a trainee all those practices & anxiety thinking when will they debut & the struggles they’ve had after they debut. Jungkook experienced that at a young age. Also the other members.
Jimin & Taehyung... Jimin the boy with big dreams and Taehyung wanted to be a great singer and dancer and esp his innocence.
Namjoon & Hoseok.. Namjoon carrying all members & taking a big responsibility as a leader. Hoseok who only wants his father to be proud of him after all the struggles he had waaay back then.
Yoongi and Seokjin.. Yoongi who only wants to be a songwriter/producer struggled so much with his parents and in his life which lead him to depression until his pre-debut days. Seokjin who originally wants to be an actor but got into different path, being attacked by haters saying he doesn’t have a talent he sucks at singing & dancing.. He practiced all day & night just to improved & to be better at his work.
Being a KPOP Idol is known for their strict rules. Obeying rules is important in SK (also in a lot of asian countries) You must obey rules and obey what older people say/order. But thankfully BigHit isn't as strict as other companies, BTS also has a bit of freedom but they still have some rules. (example like dating, they can date)
BTS is just people. They're famous but still people. Just like us they cry when they hurt, they feel pain, they get angry, get exhausted and get depressed. Let's protect our Bangtan!💜

Normally K-pop idols have almost no time to contact their parents due to their tight schedule no matter how much they want to which is why many miss their families. In some cases they can visit their hometown or their family comes visit them, but it is really rare. Btw I love you guys and your reactions. I love how you guys are so honest with the reactions.
I literally just had a mental break down in the car earlier today. So much has happened in life that.....it just gets so tiring. I'm happy and thankful for these boys because their song are honestly my rock, Whay I rely on. Their song "spring day" is the song that really touched me during a really difficult time and made me an ARMY. I really hope you enjoy the concert, and the ending especially. They always say a few words, and pour their hearts out.
You know, real people experience the "I can't go home" situations too. For example, I was away studying and later working in another country for many years, away from my own family, and couldn't go home often because...well, distance and money. That was fun. And lonely. And I missed my grandmother's funeral too. :-(

Those young men didn't and still don't have it easy. The pressure on they is immense, the about of hatred, racism etc they face is unbelievable no matter who you are it's going to affect you. At time's they must be so worn down and worn out by everything even when they love doing what the do. But there are always levels, where you are enjoying what you are doing but still facing huge amounts of differing type of pressures, problems, fears, exhaustion of the body, the mind, etc etc.
Suga is an introvert. He also had social anxiety in addition to depression as well which he revealed back then. I really hope that he's getting better. I can really see how happy he is nowadays despite all the struggles. He had confessed to being bery happy now multiple times and I am really relieved to hear so.

I think if you learn more about what does being Kpop idol means, and their fans, you would be able to understand their struggle even more. They always have to keep this image: righteous, innocent, pure, and SINGLE. They can’t even have a personal life. There are several cases of criticism and hatred towards an idol once they make one small mistake, or (god forbid) announce their relationship/engagement. They would immediately unstan them, some might even march to get them kicked out of their band. Some Kpop Idols even took their own lives because of all the judgement and criticism. Everyone is watching their every move, and it all seems way too suffocating. It’s amazing how all of them are still going strong.
I think why the people who hate bts don't see them in this way , i mean nobody knows how they struggle beside them , nobody can see how big was the pain inside , bts came from small company the company was struggling with financial issues , people in korea slept on them , they didn't gave bts what they deserved , they been to so much a hard and someone in that age ( most of them were teens whem they debut) can't survive but what make bts became this bts is just their passion to music , if you don't have passion to your dreams it will not work , they believe in them self and their Army ( am so proud of Army)

Its funny cuz BTS gets asked a lot about how now that theyve made so much money, dont they wanna live apart? Most groups start living apart after a while. But the boys always say they wanna live together and theyre lonely without each other. So they all live together in a giant apartment in Seoul. Yes members do own individual separate apartments/property but they still choose to live together. They are each others family.

I would like you to watch bts acceptance speech in MAMA Hongkong 2018, with eng sub so that you relate with them. I didn't know when I started shedding tears when I saw a grown men expressing themselves with tears on a live stage.Jin made his speech that they were thinking of disbanding. OMG!!! I was just imagine the pain they all went through.
An interesting fact about Koreans is that the youngest in the family "maknae" pours the tea for the whole family and bows on their knees to their elders. (Every new year)
Just wants to add some trivia: BTS's company & their dorm is based on the capital, Seoul. And none of the boys comes from the capital, they are from provinces out of Seoul. They cannot visiting their family often. But as they are success as now, they able to buy apartment in Seoul for their family. I'm not sure if their parents moved to Seoul, but it might be when the boys are back to Korea from abroad schedule, they reunited with their family. I know story of Jhope's parent who lives in the same apartment of another famous people, V who share his vacation vlog from his Seoul apartment (with his pooch and glimpses of his family). And Jin bought apartment for his parents on the same vicinity as the boys's dorm.
