I think the main reason as to why Hitman got "nerfed" to a mythic is cause the other legendaries have a gimmick and hitman just has good stats
iron fist technically doesnt have one too except high damage and ult, and slugger can do that and better.

@@cheese3996 his self damage isnt a gimmick, its a nerf, and his 80% ult is nothing special, considering there are other ults that do higher damage than normal too
@@cheese3996 slugger has a better feinting time, since it can hold its m2, and can also mix up and ruin reflexes

Tip for passive players: Just play like them, they will get desperate and you’ll be the passive one.

If you want advice on hitman (gonna be a long one folks): play it like how it is in the anime and manga. The way I personally do it is with a LOT of ring control. Hitman has very easily some of the most oppressive range, coupled with the stats to compensate for it's lack of mobility. What I do, is try to maintain a near constant placement in the CENTER of the ring. It's no joke when when the manga says that if Mashiba stays in the center, he can hit you from anywhere. It's virtually the same in game, just more forgiving. It's also one HUNDRED PERCENT necessary to play aggressive. There's absolutely nothing wrong with playing passive every now and then, although I recommend to do this only to throw off an opponents rythm, and to bait them into playing into your aggression. One big thing: ALWAYS be in a position where your opponent is blocking your control of middle. If you're in a corner, your range is essentially useless. Staggering can SOMETIMES be useful, but it's recommended not too. Also, m2 mixups. It's m2 is predictable, yes, which is why feints are VERY important for hitman. Don't make it a habit to constantly rely on feints, especially if they get into a habit of countering said feints. And again, you deal some of the most damage to character in game, even THROUGH block, so don't be hesitant or scared to attack, this makes your rythm predictable. One of hitmans main gists is to throw people off THEIR rythm constantly, never once allowing them to gather it. Earlier I mentioned never let your opponent block your way into middle. If you can walk back, or to the side and reach middle, I consider that good ring control. As long as you are not cornering yourself, by walking into a wall like a headless chicken 😭 obviously it takes practice, and it can be a very good style. Just in higher ranks, it either borders annoying, or easily predictable, which is where you need to experiment with new things, and find your own way of countering the playstyles that YOU have trouble playing against, goodluck all of my aspiring hitmans :3
Edit: One thing I forgot to mention, if you are low on stamina, a trick I do is to try going for a perfect dodge (usually after a long m1 combo where I hardly have any stamina, mainly to bait an m1), then waiting until the perfect dodge animation almost ends. This allows you to regain your stamina, and continue your m1 chain from almost, to full stamina!
A lot of people above diamond say Hitman is kinda booty. But that’s mainly when you’re fighting another good player, or one who can counter it well. Hitman is pretty bad when pressured, and the only good way to use it is to play passively most of the time. The m1s are very fast, yes, but they still only come from the right. The dashes are awful, and the guard is only slightly better than ghost’s. It’s essentially Ghost for 🐱s.
Edit: Smash is also really good for using feints, since the m2 is slow. The timing you can do with it is better than faster M2s. You should’ve just outboxed him more, making use of your better range and feints. And you may wanna try dashing less, since it takes so much stamina. Overall it’s just not very viable to play hitman aggressively.
Nah smash still ass. Only a good tutorial style to teach new players m2 is punishable.
Hitman is nerfed to mythic since it has barely any gimmick and has good stats only so it makes sense to pair it up with similar styles like white fang, ippo etc.
hitman is only annoying for fast m1s and the weirdly high damage, but its so bad overall

Hitman is an all rounder if you play him right, same can be said about every other style obviously but i Personally feel hitman is superior than most. The range is fucking nuts, the strike speed is good too but easy to dodge cuz if the slow start up thing. You dont need to use dash half the times, pressuring the opponent into thinking youll hit them and not hitting them is enough for them to come at you to try their luck, which in most occasions is gives you an advantage cuz of your jab speed.
What do you mean when Hitman is pressured how do you pressure Hitman it has more range than you you can't get close to it I don't understand
@@Ice_cube007 hitman has slow startup speed, use that to your advantage to dodge OR you can try forward dashing to dodge his jab. Same way ippo users or charge users dodge attacks. Key to beating Hitman is being agressive, if you give him a chance to throw his jabs you're cooked (in high elo's of course)

Backdash got nerfed. If you backdash when your opponent hasn't thrown a punch, you now get stunned for a bit, it's about the same as when you fail ghost jab, it depends on the style tho.

9:40 the issue is that you're constantly switching from blocking and trying to dodge where there's a little endlag after you stop blocking so then you aren't able to dodge and when he's staggering you like that you have to drop guard for a bit in order to dash out of it
It’s cause of the fainting you’re just used to fact that when you see a m2 you try to dodge it

The mainly reason as to why Hitman and Bullets felt short in meta is mostly because of backdash nerf like if your opponent back dash for no reason (or if you thorw no attacks) you have an window to land free m1s, but if they backdash on the right momment they get the same backdash before rhe nerf
Isn't thar passive play now is "Trash" but just got harder to use and good players can very much counter it as side dashes also got nerfed
For exemple i bet as to why thar Smash guy wasn't side dashing is because of the dash balance that you just have one dash shot to perfect dodge meaning that you can't anymore spam dashes and hope to land an pefect dodge.
Also front and side movement got buffed in all styles meaning that you can't screw up mutiples jabs with hitman and still be fine you gotta to now put some effort on when you will use it as with front movement buff they can counter your mistake (isn't noticible at first but it makes a darm of an impact)
Edit: Hitman isn't all that viable for our agressive playstyle but...It can work very very well even it has bad dashes you can still put some mad pressure if you know to read your oponnent and damage oooh boy the damage it is very good

It was never annoying. People just didn't know how to perfect dodge the light attack, and now it doesn't seem and op and most smash player (from my experience) spam and he's not player passive he was running and I don't think fainting should be that op

In your play with smash the first wrong is even tho u know he's smash is coming from the right side u always dodge at the left also ur playing too aggressive hitman's are annoying bc they just abuse the range of it and ur playstyle is like iron fist and ur m1 is too late u don't need to get close to him and just spam m1 and dash back.🙂
