What a lovely episode, probably my favourite one from the podcast series. Thankyou so much for this Junaid bhai. Massive love to Shallum and all the musicians out there.
This was such a treat to listen to. The way Shallum related culture, history and religion to music was fascinating. When I first moved to Perth, I met a guy of Portuguese background who grew up in Australia. Through conversation, he said I was born in Karachi and I could not believe that as there's hardly any knowledge/info disseminated to general public on the various ethnicities who call Karachi/other parts of Pakistan home since pre-partition. The reference of De Silva colony gave me epiphany into the conversation about a decade before. The mere conversation compelled me to research about various ethnicities and their descendants who still call Karachi their home. Sadly, the numbers are dwindling and the society is getting more 'ghuttan-zada' day by day...
What a LEGEND. Meray bhaion aur behnon... Humara apna mulq hai aur bas isko hum khud hi theek karengai.... Junaid aur Shallum bhai, aap apni efforts jaari rakhein inshAllah we will go back to the same Karachi vibes.

It was an experience watching this podcast. What amazing person Shallum is, very clear in his thought, raised some really concerning points, specially the lack of public interest in arts and cultural activities. And how things have significantly changed post 90s era. The narrative of the entire country has changed. Nothing that provides happiness and joy is cherished in out country anymore due to extremist thoughts. And yes !! Shallum said it right, that it is all intensional. Only a happy joyful mind can stay positive and can bring positivity in the society, instead our youth has been bombarded with extremist thoughts, they have been turned into robots with no life in them, all they care about is criticism and pointing fingers at each others. There was a time when gathering used to have good conversations but now it’s all about either politics or religious arguments only. Which is very sad.

Same Here
Great podcast! Im 26 and i still listen to the bands they mentioned. Love our music forever and i hope that great era comes back!
Prolly the first podcast which I watched from start till the end, followed by a revisit to Akhiyan by Fuzon.
Music was so fresh in those years.
You guys should have appreciated Pepsi though, they came in late but recently have promoted band culture again.
I would ask everyone to hear the pepsi battle of the bands original music, you guys will enjoy it. Also give them views so they know they gotta continue doing it.
He was my favourite musician, thank you very much for bringing him back.
Support and vote him for PISA award.
Great episode Junaid. Fuzon was one of my fav bands growing up! This brought back so many memories! Thank you for making me live the 2000s again :)

Love you Shallum… thanks for recalling MCC time!!! Goosebumps… thanks Junaid for all inviting him.
After a long time, I have enjoyed listening to a podcast. So calm, soothing, and full of amazing thoughts. Shallum is a great guy.
Would love to meet him someday 😊
After watching the entire episode, I could relate to so many things that Shallum said as a musician especially being a handsome and supermodel in this country. Enjoyed every minute of it. It was so very lovely. Keep it coming please.
Literally one of my fav podcast❤️❤️
Great man!!
wow ...what a start ...bro u have outdone this talk show with no censors !!! amazing...
Fact of the time, we could feel the pain of this generation of Pakistan... May God help you!
What a lovely episode, probably my favourite one from the podcast series. Thankyou so much for this Junaid bhai. Massive love to Shallum and all the musicians out there.
One of the best podcast 💚💚💚
Amazing episode. Telling him to change his name to Salim and convert is the most Pakistani thing ever!
really enjoyed this one, so good .
One of the best podcasts I have ever watched. What a sensible and educated person they both are!
Excellent conversation. Btw, his looks are so similar to Nehru's right hand VK Krishna Menon, the great indian diplomat
OMG. Yes. 😂😂
Watched the whole podcast. Big fan of our legend!
What a LEGEND. Meray bhaion aur behnon... Humara apna mulq hai aur bas isko hum khud hi theek karengai.... Junaid aur Shallum bhai, aap apni efforts jaari rakhein inshAllah we will go back to the same Karachi vibes.
Best podcast , love it totally, invite him again plz
What an inspiring talk! Shallum Xavier is an absolute legend!
From hilarious incidents to historic facts, nostalgia to The Hidden Truths of the Bitter Background Reality of every other field in PK 💔
It was a fantastic Effort from you...even though the hang out vlog was long i watched in a single sitting.
56:39 actually adoption Islam in your life is a better form of living life. You get to go to the mosque 5 times a day to pray, have a set routine which helps get your life in order
WoW! So good to see Shallum after a long time. Just realized besides amazing guitar player, Shallum has such inspiring thoughts. God bless you brother.
Shalum used be my mentor and teacher, such a great person he is ❤
It was an experience watching this podcast.
What an amazing podcast ❤️
