The great Leeds team of the 70s led by Billy, I used to love watching them play as you could guarantee a punch up or a player getting hacked down. RIP Billy
As a Doncaster Rovers fan, the team Billy put together in the 1980's was a great side and a joy to watch. Billy left us too soon and is resting in the same cemetery as my dad.
Billy sure died way too early, as a footballer, it was as if he had dynamite in his belly all the time. A great servant for Leeds utd. Maybe his ashes weren’t retained, but are now with the family . RIP Billy, a veritable legend and Tiger on the football field 🙏🙏. From a Liverpool fan
As a Scottish Leeds Utd fan I was privileged to see Billy play in both jersey's. He is my all time favourite player who's pride and love for his team wouldn't allow him to give less than 100% commitment. He's often been described as a midfield dynamo because he was the beating heart of the team. RIP wee man, thanks for some wonderful memories ❤❤
I supported leeds from a kid i remember the 1972 cup final beating arsenal 1-0 with an allan Clarke diving header then the following year crying my eyes out losing to Sunderland
Billy Bremner was my favourite football player when I was younger. I still have a football statue of him ❤ . Thank you for sharing his final resting place . ❤ RIP BILLY 🙏
As a Leeds fan who.use to be a season ticket holder for many years but after working in Leeds for well over 20 years don't get to Elland Road much now but when I do I always arrange to meet at Billy Bremner. Still to this day I'm off an age were he's still a fans favourite I'm 54 he's not mine, in over 40 years it has to be Raphina .
Thank you, Alan. I'm not a football fan but do remember Billy Bremner playing. Your videos are great watching, informative and interesting even when you can't pin point a definite location. Keep up the good work.
Hello Joy what makes me very happy is that you 've bothered to watch a few of my films by the look of it. Thank you ever so much. That's very sweet of you. I'm glad that you find them informative. I do my best I usually know them to some degree but watch a documentary in most cases so I can get the feel. I'll watch out for you and thank you Alan

Didn't realise he had died so young😢. He was Captain of that wonderful team that got me supporting Leeds in the 70s, and I am a fan today. Fiery yes, but skilful and fiercely loyal.MOT
There is a good article in The Stirling Observer on his visit back to his old school St. Modan's,a lot of my pals in the photos, must have had a day off that day or i would have been with my pals.
Aah I didn’t realise we’d lost billy bremnar I remember collecting football cards when I was about 11 years old and billy bremmnar stuck out for some reason good to have you back Alan you did your best thankyou ❤️😊
Billy was born in Stirling and was my mums cousin. Sadly mum and dad have passed but but I. Sure mum said his ashes were brought back to Stirling but not 100% sure There are no family members that I can ask as all gone Thank you for that Mum and did say he was a quiet man but had a firey temper to match his hair lol ❤
Although too young to have seen him live, I've heard many stories about him and whether the bribery scandals are true or not, he will go down in history as The Scum's finest player/captain. RIP Billy 💛
Hi Alan I'm like you not really a football fan even though I used to collect football cards as a child and remember Billy Bremners football cards but he was an amazing footballer and went much to early anyway Alan you done your best to find his final resting place
Hi Karl even people like you and me who weren't mad Kane on football. Remember Billy, it was a very prominent and good footballer afternoon in the news so it was a pleasure to try and find his final resting place. Thank you my friend, Alan
Well you can’t win them all Alan but you did try and still made a nice short video of a great player( they even made a song about him) keep up the good work mate can’t wait for the next one 👏👏👏👍
Hi Psy if you noticed that I didn't put the video up quite a long time, but I did think it's still helped to remember such a great footballer even though I kind of do a blank regarding the definite location but thank you as always my friend
My first memory of Billy Bremner was the FA cup final of 1973, Leeds v Scumberland, they'll not get there this season, we made sure of that yesterday lol RIP Billy
Hi Alan trust you are well Billy Bremner as one could say George Best and him were 2 off a kind and passion for football I am for C.T scan on friday on Abdomine , Bladder and Pelvic area
Hi Hance it goes without saying I wish you the absolute best but try not to worry because that will do nothing to help people always worry too much and it's such a shame. Tell me how it goes on and thank you for the comment on Billy
Basil Dearden also directed the episode of the man forseeing his accident in Dead of night 1945, i only noticed this screening it last month, and that wasn't even mentioned in the uncanny segment of his mini - bio, and the info on his weird accident, neither that his actress wife ( from Dracula 1958 ) died on same date but many years later...hope you visit more people with weird destinies at their resting place.
I think the University of Sterling are doing a research project on his life. Never spoke to the man although in the same place a few times. Seemed very shy and weary of strangers. He was Leeds most important player and saw the good times and the bad.
The service was in Edlington, there is a cemetery there, perhaps his ashes are there? Next time I go, Ill take a look and let you know. Literally down the road from me.
Hi alan .I was lucky to see some great players from the 60s and and early 80s you could name most of the players from most teams. did not need name on back of shirt they were hard men now days if you knock the the tele they fall over lol
Wee Billy was in a long line of scottish player's/manager's who came to England and not only played and managed but really shook the place up...sadly now there are hardly and decent men from Scotland able to do that...now....
Times have changed, and the change is so much money has flowed into English football, so they have the best players and managers in the world to choose from. Scotland doesn’t get the TV money and billions invested, it’s just totally different. The BBC pay more for Gary linekear than they pay to Scottish football. Scott McTominay is a typical example, brilliant and class player for Scotland that isn’t guaranteed a game for his club
Elland road has an amazing statue of Billy and is what can only be described as a shrine , He defininetely isnt laid to rest in Donny ,he is back home in Stirling Scotland RIP Billy the King
If Billy were engerlish they would be statues everywhere in engerlandsheer, but sadly swept under the carpet,oh remember, leeds, Harvey, Eddie gray, Gordon McQueen, Billy bremner, Andy gray, peter Lorimer, all Scottish players that made the engerlish team what it was!
