I put a Pypes H pipe on my 2019 Mustang GT. Immediately noticed it was cheap 409 Stainless. They advertised "High quality Stainless", which whould be 304 Stainless. Then on closer observation, the cross or "H" pipe itself was smaller, like 2", and the cut out in the 2-1/2" pipe was the size of a quarter, and looked like it was hacked in with a cutting torch! I've since replaced it, and it was already rusting! Go to a quality X or H pipe, like Steeda, made of 304 Stainless!
Personally I'm not a fan of the 5.0 sound i think they sound better with cat deletes and res deletes with a muffler but i still feel as the 3v is the best sounding mustang ever produced
4.6 sounds better every day, having owned both 4.6 and 5.0 with and without cats I would definitely say stock cats with h pipe resonator delete and roush axle backs is the best setup
I’m going to have to disagree with you there. I’ve had a 2000 Mustang GT New Edge 4.6L V8 2v that sounded absolutely amazing. I was running BBK Headers, an O/R X Pipe, and Muffler Deletes so it was straight piped from the headers back. Definitely one of the best sounding cars ever made and I’ll never forget how happy that car made me. However, I don’t agree that the 4.6 sounds any where near as good as the 5.0. I now own a 2016 Mustang GT S550 5.0L V8 with Muffler Deletes, a Pypes Resonator Delete H Pipe, stock cats, stock headers (the same exact setup as in the video), and this setup on the 5.0 sounds absolutely incredible in person. The 5.0 sounds more refined then the 4.6 but also more brutal/aggressive in my opinion. The revs are sharper and more violent, seeming to pierce the ears more. But regardless I honestly love the way both Mustang engines sound. Besides a Corvette I can’t think of a better sounding car.
Are the resonators still on? I have a 13 GT with muffler and resonator deletes. I’ll be installing a catless X pipe though soon to make it straight piped. Bring on the rasppp lol
No resonators lol, I’m definitely gonna put on long tubes and a set of mufflers tho because automatics with straight pipes equal a lot of drone and it’s getting annoying
@@danroden6183 update, I traded the car back where I bought it because the ticking got worst and turns out it was rod knock so I got a wrx now. My 15 had a very slight tick at idle but it wasn’t that noticeable and besides it’s a v8 it’s not gonna sound balanced but the 18s and up are unacceptable it sounds like a pushrod from the 1900s
@@doniwhips247 man that sucks. I thought the tick was a major issue so I took it to the dealership under warranty and had them check the cylinder walls for scoring. It came back fine and they said it was a normal characteristic of the 5.0's. I've heard many people are using the liqui moly ceratec additive to lubricate better and some have said the noise has gone away completely. Mine is inconsistant and under load from 1400-3000 rpm.

Yea on my new mustang I have a custom x pipe and roush axle backs and the tone and sound is a lot nicer, I have another video on my channel

My vote goes to the 4v 4.6. I've had a mustang of every generation between 2004 and 2020 and nothing even comes close to the way my 04 cobra sounded.

3V 4.6 Modular V8 with headers, cams, resonator delete, H-Pipe and Borla S mufflers... thats how america sound 💪🏽🇺🇸
My personal list goes 4V > Pushrod 5.0 > 3V > Coyote > 2v. Sorry just never been a 2V fan. They just sound generic to me.

yea it had really bad drone at 2k rpm, definitely buy real mufflers like roush or a whole cat back
Not a fan of H pipes on coyotes. Do not sound good in my opinion, X pipe and that high pitch raspy v8 at 8k rpms its gold.
