For the first time i appreciate youtube's algorithm for suggesting me this video.. What a break.. Yellow was nearly there.. I can understand adrenaline rush.. Respect+++
Nice one mate. Although it would have been good to hear a little commentary by you, like what you were thinking before each shot, where you wanted the cue ball to finish, etc, etc. Still a good video. Btw is that your table? If so, how much did you pay for it and whereabouts do you live so I can know where you get all your snooker accessories from. Cheers mate.
How many shots are you normally thinking ahead and are you mostly playing for one particular red or a choice of reds? I get in a good position with reds and black but feel overwhelmed about position play
Great break... really a shame that the last red was ever so slightly overcooked... very close to great position to make it back up-table for the yellow and a great maxi... still very well done!
John I remembered you said you got a new cue from Maximus. Is it an ultimate? Do you notice any difference in deflection/throw? Looking to get a Maximus for myself. Don’t know if I should get a prime, legend or ultimate
IFranchisedI my new cue is a prime rather than an ultimate. The deflection/throw depends on the cue itself really, I think the reason my new cue is not graded as an ultimate is that it has a very small knot in it. Both the cues don’t throw off at all, but my new cue is easier to play with as it’s more reliable. My old cue got so much spin on the ball that it made it difficult to play with sidespin consistently, and on safety shots, also from cloth to cloth. If you have chance I’d go and try a few out, try to get one that has very little throw and if it gives you that buzz to play with it could be the one!
John Foster Snooker nice thanks man. Was that probably because your last cue was a smaller tip? Thinking I’ll probably get something around 9.7 - 9.8. Unfortunately I can’t test any out here in the us. I’m just going to order one off greenbaize.com and hope it works out haha
IFranchisedI probably not although the tip was slightly smaller on my old cue due to sanding down over time. If you’re doing that then speak to Stuart on the phone or over email and he’ll be able to pick you out a cue that has the characteristics you like! He’s really helpful!
Half decent player myself until I stopped playing, high break of 89, but it's mad how easy top players make it look, never hit a ball hard. Top class..
So John just wondering was cue school expensive and that is why you had to turn your sights on other things? I can just tell this was your life for so long and you truly love it. As someone who would love to try out for cue school I am just wondering why you decided to hang up the cue and focus on other things?
MZiggy hi mate, the cost was a small factor in my decision. After playing in the challenge tour events this season I realised that maybe a life as a snooker player living out of a suitcase isn’t one I’d enjoy very much. I like my home too much and I value family more than a career.
Anyway back to the snooker. Nice break. Do you realise that you apply a touch of right hand side on almost every shot? I'm guessing it's probably a correction after years of approaching the cue ball too square on. Just an observation. Nice player however.
Dude you got your camera smash it with something :) by the way it’s not important to win because win don’t give you nothing but only hater more and more hater so stay medium not high or low but medium like me :) like other’s
WHAT? That black ball in the middle.. are you kidding me.. Legend.
What a pot on the final black. Fair play

You're the best webcam snooker player on UA-cam.
Some nice shooting there lad. Some odd shot choices but great accuracy and nice cue ball placement.
Potting that last black and then missing a long yellow off the spot. I feel your pain. :-)

We have seen the tradition kind of break building already. Can you upload a video with exhibition shots type of deal. That would be grateful.
Unlucky with the positional play but that black pot to the middle was epic. Still a century break 🤙

Have you a link to where you got your cue by any chance?

Can someone please tell me the name of his cue?
Soubd would have been perfect if you turned the radio off. The go pro was recording the sound of it and everytime you walked you made interference,
