These guys are great and Tommy is the perfect frontman. Their "Swedish Hitz Goes Metal" cover albums are lots of fun and some of the songs are better than the original pop versions.
Great! I heard the 1912 album when it released, but didn't took special notice of The Voyage and it blew me away now! I also agree with Michael that the ReinXeed songs definitely are the highlight in this trio.
MAJESTIC: There is a similar band from Malmoe from the late 1990s with a similar name: Majestic: please try their songs Curtain of Fire, Golden Sea, and Crimson Sun
Yes, I think this is also the reason why ReinXeed took the name Majestica and not just Majestic. That, and, as Tommy says in an interview " It's not only a majestic and epic name for a power metal band from Sweden, it's also a tribute to the album »Majestic« that we released with REINXEED in 2010. We came up with it and it sounded great, it felt perfect for this kind of music and just feels right."" - Anamaria
Jeje same song structure as “eagle fly free” from Helloween (bass solo, drums solo, guitar solo, etc..) I love how Helloween has inspired such a good band like Majestica (and many others!) up the pumpkins!! 🎃
Lost Horizon are kings of power metal for me. They only made 2 albums but they are 11/10 stellar records and they have the best singer in metal featured on it (who's also a big influence on tommy). It just doesn't get better than that. Heart of Storm, Sworn in The Metal Wind, World Through My Fateless Eyes, Welcome Back, Pure... so many insanely good songs
Yes! A few commenters have mentioned that they're great - I've mostly listened to Highlander and a bit on shuffle. But I'll give a closer to your recommendations. Very helpful, thanks! -Michael
@@MetalAcademix Highlander and that album in general was more proggy and more about Daniel's insane skills as a vocalist, while the first album was more pure power metal, that's why I'm suggesting that. But you're welcome, glad you're checking it out! :) Daniel is in a new band currently though, called Dimhav and he's still singing insane stuff at 50+ years of age, so if you want to see something more recent, go for that
Alright, on your suggestion I started listening more closely and went down the rabbit hole of Lost Horizon - sooo good! Sworn in the Metal Wind with the 4x opening screams is epic. Am shooting to the front of my pipeline for the channel, thanks! :) -Michael
Boden and Falun is many miles apart though.... it takes 10 hours to drive between the cities. Great vocalist and musically gifted! Great band aswell. Tommy was singing an cover of a Helloween song with a band called Granskogerz, which is a bit of a joke name, beacuse in Sweden there is something called Dansband, Dansband is a Music genre compared to countrymusic, the bands usually name themselves with a Z in the end of the names.
@@MetalAcademix Am from BOden! Its very far up. Very snowy and cold/darkk winters :P We are about 30 000 ppl in the city/town. Its 12h drive/1h flight to Stockholm :) Anyway. So cool to have such a talented musician from our small town
Luca Turilli must be one of the guys with most bands out there. I have lost track of the combinations he's been playing in. I don't think I've heard this song, will give it a go. Thanks! - Anamaria
@@MetalAcademix Luca Turilli founded Thundercross which late became Rhapsody. The Emerald Sword Saga is a story that expands over five albums: Legendary Tales, Symphony of the Enchanted Lands, Dawn of Victory, Rain of Thousand Flames, and Power of the Dragonflame. He released albums with the band Luca Turilli where he recorded songs that were not part of the Emerald Sword Saga.
when you said boden is close to falun... its roughly 650km away by air or roughly 840km by road, boden is much closer to gällivare, luleå and haparanda while falun is closer to borlänge, örebro and gävle. also, about the keyboards, tommy is the one recording them in studio, he isnt only a great singer and guitarist but also a great keyboard player
Yes, totally true about the distances... From a Scanian perspective, the North is a bit distorted. And even a stronger yes when it comes to Tommy's musicianship - this guy is amazing! Voice, keys, guitars, composition, just WOW! This even shows on the latest Majestica album, A Christmas Carol!
If you want to hear Tommy's vocal range you should check out his cover of Josh Groban "You Raise Me Up" (1 octave challenge} with a metal twist. Pretty amazing cover.
I absolutely love Tommy's vocals, crystal clear on his high notes
Indeed, he is a great singer! - Anamaria
I really love how you guys brought majesticas first song in and then ReinXeeds songs in the video too!! Keep it up guys!!
Great job in helping me discover a great sounding band I'd never heard of.
Hope you like it!
the singer is a guitarist frome sabaton
Same - although I heard about them but never heard. Till now!
*WOW!*
These guys are insanely talented musicians... blew me away when i first heard this way back...lol
Tommy does the keyboards and orchestration himself on albums, on top of singing and playing guitars.
Didn't know that - interesting, thanks! The man is quite the musician -Michael

I have listened to these songs heaps and the high notes still give me tingles

Insomnia made me found this guys and I really love their reviews. Greetings from cancún México!!!!!!
Welcome to our channel, Cinthia!
I am going to have to check them out. Thank you for showing them
Majestica!! i love this song!
Love Tommy he's awesome you definitely need to check his channel.
It's also fitting that they had Uli Kusch on the drums for Above the Sky, who played drums in Helloween from 1994 to 2001.
Wow, good spot - didn't know that! -Michael
muy bueno lo que hacen desde argentina sigan asi!!
