I’ve been learning how to play this sweep everyday for a couple hours for the past week and I never did the tap for that high note, is it more practical doing the tap instead of a quick slide with the pinky to that fret?
I don't know, I use my pinky for that part too, but I'm pretty sure the guitarist of Born of Osiris taps it. Just play whatever is comfortable imo.

Why play muted single notes instead of the full C power chord? the sweeps are great though
Dennis Reynolds thank you! I find single notes cleaner. I think at that time, I heard single notes in the original song, not sure what I’d hear now. Our ears get better with time.

This sounds a bit out of tune.
Texas Raised American I think the Arpagio (Can't spell that) was off pitch by like one half step. Or something. Maybe it was the fact that the drums weren't audible.
Nothing wrong with the pitch.
He's just using pull offs on the way down instead of picking everything, like the black guitar guy is doing.
