And it’s not just the frogs legs that taste great - in Evangeline parish we have a dish called “frog back gravy” served over rice - it’s amazing with fried frog legs on the side

Man the bayou has all the food u guys need down south huh? I tried gator for the first time about 7 years ago when I went to New Orleans. It was good! They told me the best meat on the gator is the cheek and the tail. And fried EVERYTHING down there. It was a trip tho, I’m from California where we get fresh bread and salad as complimentary appetizer, down there they down have hood fresh bread, and u ain’t gettin no salad lol. It was an awesome experience, I want to go back some day

My dad used to have a spear thing for frogging, but his had a rubber loop on the opposite end of the spear head, so u could wrap the rubber loop around your elbow and fire the spear, as opposed to just using your shoulder muscle

Your gig points are too heavy for frogs - that’s why the barb was ineffective- smaller gauge gigs work well and if you spend some time getting them needle sharp you won’t wound or miss many
