  • Ilbīrī was a famous maliki jurist in Qurtuba (Spain) in the 1000s of the Islamic Hijra calendar. His Ta'iyyah poem is full of gems; the translation does due it justice compared to it's rich arabic; however it has been reviewed and I thought I would share it with the western world who cannot understand the classical arabic.

Probably the best hadith you will ever hear 🤯
    Aws bin Aws narrated:
Allah's Messenger said to me: 'Whoever performs Ghusl on Friday, and bathes completely, and goes early, arriving early, gets close and listens and is silent, there will be for him in every step he take the reward of a year of fasting and standing (in prayer).'"
    At-Tirmidhi (496)
    Grade: Sahih(Darussalam)

At 11:26 it speaks of a man called Samiri because he had a curse on him apparently, what's the story on this individual and who is he? Was he a sinner? Was he a victim of black magic or Evil eye?
