Great video Tim, I highly recommend this kit for any older 1025R owner looking to add the summit rear hydraulics to it.
I made this same modification to my 2025R a few months ago.
Since the part numbers for the green fender were shown to be different, I had order both piece for my 2025R once here it turned-out part numbers were shown as different, but once I had both my green fenders side by side , that the original fender and the new number fender, it was clear that for the 2025R they were the same piece or so similar that we saw no reason to use it and since returned it to Green parts store. Which that said for 2025R owners looking to do this modification it is only about 40 bucks all you need is that upper black portion of the fender.

this looks to be a nice kit upgrade for my 2020 1025r, just to have the clean look and the price is certainly affordable....especially adding a few extra light switches

I upgraded my 2018 2025R with the fender after seeing your sneak peek in a previous episode. Nice thing is the 2025R does not need the fender replaced.

Do you just need to replace the console insert? Do you happen to have the part number for that? I would like to upgrade my 2021 2025R as well.
@@patrickpettengill4444 Just the console insert. Same part number as the 1025R, TR121778. Cost is around $40 for the console. The plugs M115279 are around $2.65 each.
I did the upgrade with the 4 rockers for my Summit 4 port rear SCVs on my 1025r. Easy and fun! But remember to pull the fuse for the 12v outlet! 😮😂
Your video on this install is timely as I have been debating about getting the summit kit but wasn’t too excited about the support bracket mounting location especially with my OTC cab. This is a nice solution to keeping the summit install nice and clean. Thanks for the video (and cat camo).
Tim, I always use a jack stand and metal rod to remove the wheel weights. I loosen the top bolt and slide the rod in and place on the jack stand, then level it. I then loosen the bottom blot and slide the wheel weight on the rod. It saves the back and frustrations. Lol

You’re right, that fender is a bargain! Like your experience with the 3520, the fender for my 4 series was around $300 as well. Blessings.

I would have liked to seen what the difference was on the fenders. I have a factory cab and taking the fender off is a very big job.

Just ordered the kit for my 2022 with link provided. Now if you could figure out a way to upgrade to the new 2023 LED headlights without altering the factory wiring harness that would be the bee's knees!
Parking brake handle is also a change for the 2023 model year.
Now you can flip you toolbox 🧰 mount bracket around so it sits above your fender like Johnny 1. 🙃
Tim if you use carriage bolts on them weights, no wrench needed on the backside
My early 22 has the old style fender, this might be worth the upgrade.

Great job on the upgrade. I have a 2019 and was looking to upgrade the hydraulics to include a front 3rd function, and a hyd top link on the back. I could use your opinion on if it would best to put a power beyond first and then do a summit kit for the front 3rd function or just do a summit kit that would take of both items. Thanks

I forgot the gasket as well when I put switches on my 22. You can pry up slightly with a trim tool or butter knife and push the locking tabs in and the switch will come right up.

Can in infer from your "Before 2022" description (or maybe Green Parts store's description) that it'll fit my 2016 as well? Some might consider 2016 to be ancient history at this point. 🙂

I think my switches on my rops look and work perfect. Too lazy to do that fender swap. But where did you get that roll around stool? I want one!
My 2017 1025R has 438 hrs & won't start. Lights flash on dash. Battery has Sept. 2015 sticker on it (crazy, right?) but it is now testing @ 12.4V once I trickled charged battery. Lights on tractor don't come on (only rear lights work). I checked middle relay by pulling out bottom one & placing in center spot. Didn't make a difference. Checked corresponding 20a yellow fuse, not busted. So what gives? Why is my tractor not starting? Headlights never turn on, but when I turn knob to 'on' position, display goes dark. Dash display only flashes when headlight knob in off position. It HAS to be battery, right?

could you have cut the ends of the wire that plugged into the switches? That would have taken care of the extra...just a thought.
I'm watching this at work and can't hear the audio, so forgive me if this is mentioned in the video. Tim, when do you think we'll get an update video on the longevity of Johnny X, plus turbo kit availability?
i wouldn't hold your breath on the turbo kit simply because the EPA has to be involved in the whole process, if it wasn't for that there would be a much better chance of the turbo kit being available for retail sale
The parking brake is also different on the 2023.

The one "upgrade" over the 2019 model that is not an upgrade in my opinion, is the new way the MMM is connected to the tractor, although the 7-iron (7 gauge steel) mower deck itself might be more durable than the older, thinner 10 gauge deck thickness. I just don't like how the 7-iron does the attachment to the tractor.

I came across a 2038r at a dealership. First one since before Covid hit. I noticed there was no slits for the handles if one wanted the rear hydraulic connectors. Are they there just can’t see the on-less you look from up underneath???
They likely replace a portion of the console. Pretty slick setup. It always looks custom no matter which options you get.
@@TractorTimewithTim you are right. I went looking on Green tractor talk. Found a thread and someone posted the instructions that come with the kit. Wondering now if that would be a factory add-on or dealer. I’m handy with a wrench but… oh my. Lol
I would have pulled all the wires through the holes in the fender wired up the switch then popped in to place
Did not have enough distance between ground wire connections. Remember, they were all inside that little box. Only 1 inch or so between spades.
When did LED light start?
Tim, are the mounting points for the fender work lights the same on the 2 consoles? Pictures I've seen seem to look like the new mount is different (possibly higher) than the old one.

I'll bet you took it back apart after the camera was off to check the wires and the seal. You seem a bit OCD (as am I) and I'm guessing that would bug you until you checked it out. 😄

My 2022 1025R did not come with the switch knockout plugs. Purchased in April 2022, but the unit has a manufacture date of Dec 2021.
Definitely going to upgrade.
