    Sure hope more manufacturers embrace it. Thinking a crazy lightweight AR-10ish platform like the POF Rogue pistol would be incredible. A hair over 6 lbs and a chambering way more ideally suited for the 12" barrel than 308? Seems like a no-brainer.

    Whats the longest barrel it can use in a boltaction? and how many joules at 100yards in subsonic?

      Yeah I’d like to hear more about optimization for barrel lengths. This entire cartridge appears to be designed with ergonomics in mind, not a bad thing but now I am more curious.

    Well, I’m in! Have barrel, new hand guard, upper receiver, extra bcg, just ordered new lower, no ammo, gas tube or gas block. Just give me time!

    Wondering how this compares to the WC 300 Ham'r ballistics? I understand that the 8.6 is a superior suppressor host because 300 Ham'r doesn't have any subsonic ammo available.

      More energy on target if you're playing with subsonics. supersonics just stick with 308

      @@hydrophilicchristopher9874 458 socom puts way more energy on target subsonic than 8.6 blackout. Do the math. 458 socom subs are heavier than 8.6 subs.

      If you're a 3 MOA shooter and you have a 1 MOA gun... you get 3 MOA. BUT if you're a 3 MOA shooter and you gave a 3 MOA gun... oof. What, maybe 6 MOA on a bad day?
      All tolerances stack. All variables stack. Nail down whats easiest to nail down first and reap an instant reward.

      Pistol brace vs stock. Mini fix can be an SBR with stock attached.

      There is a few videos that show the truth of the armor penetration of the 9x39mm, even with the AP ammo it is really similar to 300 BLK.

      @@domostructor147 honestly, with updated tech and a gun that can run subs and supers 9x39 could be ALMOST as good as 8.6... but no one is doing this, and in the AR I don't think the bolts can handle a supercharged 9x39.
      8.6 seems better in almost every conceivable way except frame/magazine size... and frankly modern materials make up for that a lot.
