thanks for sharing i have one of those power probe short finders haven't used it yet saw scanner danner try to use one one time was so funny.
It's not the easiest thing to use but it can also be used as a signal generator since it produces a square wave. I use it a lot with my labscope to confirm wires are intact.
they probably changed the compressor because of the damaged wire!
They may have, it may have got damaged when the motor was replaced.
