Leon's answer about how the characters probably all see themselves as the heroes is also really interesting. Sauron and Pharazon would've definitely thought that way. Galadriel is the AUNT of Gil-Galad (the elven king) and was a couple of thousand years old when he was born but he looks 20 older than her. Ditto for Celebrimbor (the ring maker) who is the son of her cousin. Maybe being in the forge aged his skin prematurely but he looks to be 30-40 older than Galadriel.
Well I have a friend who was baby sat by her nephew who is like 15-20 years older then her. So for elves I would think this to be relatively normal. I also believe Tolkien had various versions of the lineages of these characters. Celebrimbor I think has at least 3. So I find it to be much more about choosing a theoretical direction for the sake of the show, and keeping with that going forward.
A) I LOVED the first season and am about to rewatch it b) I can't wait for the next season and c) this cast is incredible and I love the respect and affection they have for each other 😊

Galadriel and Tar-Miriel NEVER met. Tar-Miriel was NOT a Queen Regeant. Elendil DID NOT have a daughter he only had two sons. I could keep going, this is not an adaptation of Tolkien at all, because it is WHOLLY DIFFERENT and the CORE is no where to be found.

Genuine question. I personally had no experience with Lord of the Rings until the movies released and _then_ went back to delve into the world and letters and notes and I think that's what did it for me.

So in all honesty, pretty good questions from Jake... It’s not Jake’s fault that most of these actors come off as unlikable narcissists. So, in spite of my initial impulse to give this a thumbs down, I realized the dumb answers aren’t Jake’s doing, and refrained.
These people are workers doing their job, you wouldn't get mad at blizzard's janitor because of how pay to win diablo immortal was. That being said, I certainly find some of them a bit unlikeable, but ultimately, it is the people behind the screen who are pulling the strings.
