this is actually surprisingly good, a massive improvement over the blue ray, which is one of the worst ever. they fixed the obvious red and blue stuff from the blu ray and got rid of a lot of the massive amount of grain and blurriness from the blu ray.
Looks like they zoomed out the image showing more picture info on all sides. I think the image quality is very good. I know there are some issues with the ai. I also noticed that some shots where the image was fuzzy on either side were improved somewhat. Yes I will be buying this.
I don't care what some youtubers say I don't care what people think. What is important is my personal opinion and I find that this edition is really good even if it was processed with or partially with A.I. So don't f...k me with people who are hateful a gainst this technology!!!!!!
This is not surprising since this film was designed especially for 3D. You should know that Joe Alves absolutely wanted this film with 3D effects. And that's why the 2D image isn't very good. For example, if we look particularly at the outlines of the characters. However, I would like to draw your attention to one element. This might interest you, but Jaws 3 was upgraded to 2D DI in 2015 and the picture is much more improved, especially in the 2016 3D edition.
I would have the 4k right now if it had special features on it. I've seen the sharks don't die Jaws 3 documentary here on UA-cam...wish that was on it or something. All we got as an extra is the 3d version that is on the 2016 disc. A lot of people can't watch the 3d version because they don't have a 3d tv and 3d tvs are no longer on the market.
Always looking forward to your transfer videos. Looking forward to my copies coming in. I have never seen jaws 3 or 4. Seen the first one countless times. I enjoyed part 2 got it on Black Friday for $9.99. so yeah. Looking forward to it. What made me pull the trigger was the atmos mix. So whats your opinion on the PQ? Was A.I used? Another UA-camr doesn't believe so because white specs are still showing up.
I'm going to be very honest with you. As always with AI, there are those who love it and those who hate it. Now, if you ask me directly, I will try to be as objective as possible. But very simple at the same time. Basically, if I had to get this 4K comic, I'd grab it, because so far it's the best pressing I've seen so far. And without counting Dolby Atmos which is in reality not pure Atmos sound, but the sound has been significantly improved and sometimes even impressive when you know the old edition. The soundscape is simply magical for a film that is almost 40 years old. However, the Atmos sound (which comes from the ceiling speakers) remains very timid and I think that is the negative point. Beyond that the image seems completely acceptable to me but once again it's my personal opinion. Thank you for your comment 👍🏻
@@Mymoonization that's good to hear. Of course we always want the best sound and picture quality possible...but we're all different. This might sound silly, I know I mentioned the Atmos mix when I don't even have an Atmos set up....but I do have a 7.1..and I can still hear the difference when the sound is remixed. Which is why I didn't mind paying full price right now. When I saw Jaws 2 only had the 2.0. I decided to wait
Universal's attempt to squeeze blood out of a stone. They likely did this because due to how it was shot with thw two 3D images per frame, the movie never looked very good, so this was them trying to make it look decent on 4K in whatever way they can.
DNR + AI, absolutely no way. No matter how bad the 2016 Blu-ray was. Should never have made the 4K way in the first place, due to the over/under 3D shooting.
Honestly, the film could have been much better because I found the storyline fantastic. For several reasons that I will not mention for the moment. I find that this third part is doing much better than the fourth which is a total failure.
Perhaps, but I find that we are far too far from the previous three already that the third was relatively limited but more convincing than the fourth. Plus the shark following from Amity's journey to the Bahamas......come on it's hilarious !
The part on the Blu-ray version that always got me was when Kelly and Sean at night we're going into the water and Mike came I started harassing them there was all pixels all over the screen it looked horrible even the DVD didn't have that problem

Even with the weird A.I. artifacts this is a genuine improvement over one of the worst Blu Rays ever released
I can’t they left the 3D filter, it makes the image blurry and unpleasant to watch.
There are more Blu Rays out there that are worse than the Jaws 3D Blu Ray.
@@ChainsawManDude97 Not many for major studio blockbusters, I would argue. Relatively speaking, it was notorious.
Seen many negative reviews but seeing this it actually looks good. In my opinion it never looked better.

Amazing but I’d love to see what Daddy’s Home 1-2 looks like for a comparison
I think this looks amazing except some of the crowd shots where the faces weren’t picked up so clearly in the original filming.
The bluray and previous versions were always pretty rough looking. Thanks for the video.

I have the 3-D version on a blank D.V.D. I don't need the blu-ray.
Looking forward to see what Paramount will do with the 4K of Friday the 13th Part 3

AI was 100% used, as you can tell with the background faces. I do think they did some basic real restoration, then layered on AI face enhancements.

Just better regardless
How can i get the 4k edition?
Well for starters, it depends where you live, but otherwise you can find it on Amazon !
Thank you for that❤. I hope to see a comparison of Brokeback Mountain (2005) 4K soon.. I'll wait for you😊
I will….don’t know when but I’ll do it 😉!!!

Only in 2K DI in 2015 (I guess) !!!
Why don't they fix u the special effects on this thing. They never intended for it to be like this but had to work with time and budget.

Doenst matter. Those shark effects are fucking trash still.
