These are clockworks that show the passage of time in different dimensions, with different properties and characteristics in flux. The upper left corner shows sheet music, which captures time in the abstract and pure theoretical form. The upper right corner shows time captured at the pace of growing plants. My musical development in the background captures my progress in and through time in terms of session-by-session improvements and long-term growth. Sometimes, such as during my assessment periods, Time is set to Normal. At other times, Time is set to Accelerated, either FWD or REV. The instrument itself is a time traveler. It's a Selmer Modele No. 22 Soprano Saxophone, serial number 4065, which dates it to 1925. It's been fully restored and has all of its original parts, plus an updated mouthpiece.
