Thank youuuu. Most videos show other GM models having three screws on the front whereas these have those studs you pull out and I needed confirmation to yank those and thanks to you - I got it. Thanks brother.
You made a great point that took me years of ordering wrong parts, before I finally got it right. I learned the difference between left/ right side the hard way, by trial and error! 👍
Your vid was really helpful, but as hard as I tried that mirror was not coming off as easy as it did for you. I had to replace both sides twice. the first time took me all day and into the night.. The second time I had to replace the passenger mirror motor, so when I got the replacement it had the motor and the mirror holder. I found it so much easier to remove the plastic cover on the back of the mirror then just separated the mirror from the motor by applying pressure from the back and the mirror just popped off. replaced the motor and re-attached the mirror. Total time 20 minutes start to finish. The driver side tilt motor took about 90 minutes. All made possible by applying what I learned from you and making minor adjustments to the process. Thanks
You are the man and great job. I have slightly more problem than yours. When the driver side folding works, normally, the passenger side motor makes the noise that goes slightly more that the end of motion on good side (Driver side) just to indicate the motor is working,. So probably the wheel attached to motor is brokien and I have heard GM made these wheels out of plastic!!! Can't understand how cheap we have gone, even on a luxury car. Then additionally same passenger mirror, doesn't move up or down but moves normally side to side. So I guess I have two motors to change. Not sure if it gets cheaper to find a second hand or non oem total mirror replacement, instead of two motors. Well your video certainly helps to figure out my path and thanks for that. Hope your mirror and side camera are all working fine till now. Cheers.
Thanks for the video, I'm guessing my mirror (2008 Chevy AvalancheLTZ) has the same type of motor? My driver side mirror makes noise and doesn't open when folded in.
Thanks for the video. I have the same problem with the driver side one; not folding. I appreciate it if you tell me the part number and where to buy it. Thanks a lot!
Great video and very informative...! I have a 07 Ext Escalade and the mirror on the drivers side will fold in and out and the adjustment on the right to left works however the adjustment on the up and does nothing... any ideas?

90% of the time when your mirror won’t fold in cause a plastic gear in side that $100 motor broke, I made the mistake of buying the motor again and instead bought the gear for $13 off Amazon and it’s made of metal so won’t break
Feel like I owe you something for making this vid. You made this so easy!!!
Thanks from Texas.
