well, godzilla kills destroya before he melts down,but before that godzilla breathed some sort of red smoke into baby godzilla after destroya dropped him through that stadium, I think it was his essence and when big g had his meltdown he let off nuclear energy like the a bomb that created him in the first place. Only it was whole lot more. At the end of the movie you see the silhouette, that was baby fully charged and full grown.
Imagine this Tokyo is in ruins as you look around you see King Ghidorah roaring in the Distance, as you run, a blue beam of energy hits Ghidorah knocking him down! You Hear a Roar you look the other way around and see Godzilla, you Smirk as if to say: Give Him Hell! Big Guy! As you run you see Ghidorah ready to battle Godzilla!
