In the Netherlands separation is more prominent usually we have “groups” of kids or all around the same age or every age Usually those groups ruin it for the rest Because they bully kids different from them even though they are born in the Netherlands. Those people ruin the vision of culture and religions for others
I know you mean that from a good place, but unfortunately the current government does not think that and is carrying a lot of the population with them.
I am living peacefully with everyone in India, but it's not the case everywhere. Distinction by caste, colour, race, faith, and gender is at it's peak in some areas. Ignorance is a bliss, not in a good way.
I’m personally white, Italian, and Irish. I have so many friends of any race. I want everyone to have friends of any race. Their culture, skin color, or looks altogether don’t matter. It is there personality.
No one has to share their country by force. Its called their country not someone else's. You can be a guest in someone else's country but you can't take over it and throw them out.

This is an arrogant comment. This video is explaining how we should all live in peace with each other without hatred. These silly jokes about "I don't live with Jews" are unnecessary and not needed. If you want to comment, comment something that is not rude like this.

In Singapore, our flats that we live in must have a certain percentage of each race so we all live together and it’s not a problem at all. We even have Racial Harmony day where we dress up in each other’s culture traditional clothes. I’m also Chinese and literally am living next to a Malay family, there was a time where they even invited my whole family to their own gathering to have lunch ☺️ So proud of how racially inclusive Singapore is 🥰 Edit: Ah from the replies to my comment it is very clear that most of you have not gone to many harmonious multiracial countries and before you comment, visit these countries one day, I’m not sure about other countries but in Singapore, nobody gives a shit if the government is controlling how many percentages of races have to live in Singapore because most frankly getting a flat here is insanely difficult so that’s the least of our issues. The most important thing is WE ARE HAPPY. Most people think of freedom as the government not putting their hands in anything but how much freedom can you really achieve without them?? I mean are you guys as racially accepting as us here? I don’t think so.
I live in the south and it's basically impossible to self segregate due to the amount of diversity here, which I love because I get to experience an amazing amount of culture from different places!

I like how you’ve helped other people realize that not all segregation stems from racism. A lot of it is because it’s easier being around similar people.
I agree there is some self segregation in Palestine and Israel . But the main cause that which it stems from is that Israel NOT ISRAELIs is an apartheid state that oppresses Palestinians and treats them as second class citizens. See the forced evictions in sheikh jarrah, putting children in jail, demolishing Palestinian homes, killing them with no justifiable reason, kicking them out their houses that have keys that they still hold on to. And on the other side there is wrong coming from both sides but it is not a fair fight and Israel has claimed far more lives. If we truly want peace and tolerance yes the people should start, there is already some projects aiming to bridge the gap but Israel must stop killing innocent civilians, shouldn’t evict Palestinians out of their houses and put their children in prisons. For change we must recognise the problems holding us back. And then when any criticism comes Israel is quick to denounce it as anti semitism. And you’ve got to ask yourself why Israel is mad when Palestinian civilian deaths are reported. This doesn’t come from a place of hate or malice I simple wish to educate and have a conversation because this will too bridge the gaps.
@Mathew Rex culture is fluid. It's ever changing. That's how society develops. Sometimes conservative thinking tries to sell you the idea of some immutable notion of 'culture' or 'original culture' but this in itself is faulty and causes the harm you describe. One can make excuses for the underlying stem of bigotry but it is what it is. You can put the connotations, but the meaning of the word is its meaning. Example, there was a big shift in the cultures of the Levant during the Islamic expansion and conquest. Hundreds of languages and their dialects, religions etc disappeared and was supplanted by Arabic and Islam (Aramaic, as a spoken language is in the minority now.) Would any Muslim in the region want a return to the pre-islamic 'original culture'? Would they revert to their old writing systems to trade the ability to be able to read the Quran? Of course not.
@@conorf8091 of course, but that doesn't mean I need to segregate to preserve my own personal sense of culture. I don't impose these even in my children. First and foremost, our humanity should transcend culture. Culture has been evolving for over 10k years. They arise and fade.
I've noticed, we don't have alot of self segregation where I live in London. I see people from different cultures talking and laughing all the time. All the schools accept people regardless of their religion or culture, its great
Yup - you do. It’s a capitalist empire society… if you are a white native English speaker you generally will not see the cultural barriers and road blocks that are placed all over and on every level. Look at your mps - overwhelmingly white middle aged men - few exceptions. They will fight integration with everything they have.

There are still people who are self segregated. But it’s always wonderful to see people making friends. Work spaces are great melting pots for culture.

No, Indians don’t. Infact, India has been colonized by so many ethnicities, so many countries way back to an extent where there are no true Indians. It is all mixed race now. Indian is a mixed race. Indians are in every skin tone, religion, faith etc. West to East most of them invaded India and made it their home.
So true. I grew up in what used to be a strictly Italian neighborhood in Queens. It used to be impossible for any other ethnicity of people to live there. Slowly, some West Indian families started moving in, and 90% of the Italians chose to move out because their Italian neighborhood started to change and they didn’t like it. Before the government, Jews and Arabs lived like family for centuries in the Middle East. Here in US, specially in NY where I grew up in the projects… it’s the government which purposely moved the minorities from mixed neighborhoods to the projects(which I call modern slave quarters!) where there is limited resources, no jobs, horrible schools, no fresh food…. It’s those people who are in charge of us are making those decisions… The older I get, the more pessimistic I get😞 Just feels like things getting worse:(

The last battle between Israel and Hamas was Hamas fault, they bombed The Western Wall which is even Jordan’s land. Unfortunately a significant portion of the 'de-self-segregation' came from destroying the original local Kampungs (shanty towns) where there were very close and loving communities. They were forcefully relocated into new apartment blocks and it led to many - especially the older generations - being abandoned and feeling lonely and isolated.
When placed in a vacuum, we will automatically sort ourselves into categories that reflect cultural and physical similarities. Another cool way to word what he said.
Not really, that self sorting would reduce the entropy of a system. The entropy if a system should always increase, so in a perfect isolated system we would mix and form a uniform concentration
@@anirudhiyer6599 also people self sorting doesn’t reduce thermal entropy. It’s a common misconception to confuse thermal entropy with disorder, which is not. Thermal entropy is actually the amount of heat (energy) in a system per degree kelvin. A spontaneous isolated system has a tendency to increase entropy overtime. In other words, increase it will increase its heat (energy) per degree kelvin (temperature). Complex system (such as humans) are better at increasing the entropy than simpler systems (such as rocks) because they produce more heat (energy) waste. People have the natural tendency to interact more with those they share things in common. That interaction requires energy. If one use more energy, there is a tendency to produce more heat (energy) waste. Which in fact it increases the thermal entropy of the system. In conclusion: people sorting by similarities in a isolated system aligns perfectly with the 2nd law of thermodynamics

In Singapore, our flats that we live in must have a certain percentage of each race so we all live together and it’s not a problem at all. We even have Racial Harmony day where we dress up in each other’s culture traditional clothes. I’m also Chinese and literally am living next to a Malay family, there was a time where they even invited my whole family to their own gathering to have lunch ☺️ So proud of how racially inclusive Singapore is 🥰
Edit: Ah from the replies to my comment it is very clear that most of you have not gone to many harmonious multiracial countries and before you comment, visit these countries one day, I’m not sure about other countries but in Singapore, nobody gives a shit if the government is controlling how many percentages of races have to live in Singapore because most frankly getting a flat here is insanely difficult so that’s the least of our issues. I like how you’ve helped other people realize that not all segregation stems from racism. A lot of it is because it’s easier being around similar people.
It may not stem from racism but you scratch the façade, it will tie down to bigotry. Bigotry against those or ideas outside of the culture.
@@ememe1412 my culture doesn’t have to be your culture and vice verca.

Before the government, Jews and Arabs lived like family for centuries in the Middle East. The last battle between Israel and Hamas was Hamas fault, they bombed The Western Wall which is even Jordan’s land. I don't know, I think people have the right to freedom of association. I think that if you don't want to interact with a certain group of people you should have the right to. Plus, the alternative is people putting up with each other just because they have to rather than actually wanting to.
If you don't want to interact with a certain group of people based on their differences in race/religion etc., then you really need to get some help. If you meant personality wise, then sure! Go ahead. No matter the race, if you're obnoxious then you just are and I ain't hanging around you for even a fraction of a second.
The journey is long and full of hardship but the view from the top is to die for.

He is right but Singapore is an bad example. They confuse Utopia with dystopia and punish people for basic freedoms like techno communists . Every morality can be turned upside down
If you're white you have nothing to gain from caring about others, they call you racist anyway.

People are like paints on a pallete. The colors start out being separated, but it's only when they get mixed together that you get something interesting.
👍
My legal team has advised me not to post my original comment
@@Xayayah why
On the pallete, they are separate so they all don't accidentally mix together and form an ugly sludge color. They are only mixed by professionals, otherwise you'll get an ugly shade.
So what your saying is if we continue to mix humans of different colors on the visual light spectrum then eventually every human will turn white because what happens when you do that
Racist
Whise words of Master Oogway
I agree with this 100% but if your coming to live in a country be prepared to respect their country and adapt to their ways.

I've only visited Singapore briefly, but from what I've seen it's a beautiful country, I was kinda shocked when I see the people speaking so many languages, honestly if I could I might want to live there.
Frfr but I was born here its awesome 👌
Ye do pls I live there too! Theres a lot of places there that you can visit and there AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG

When placed in a vacuum, we will automatically sort ourselves into categories that reflect cultural and physical similarities. Another cool way to word what he said.
When placed in a vacuum, we will die
Not really, that self sorting would reduce the entropy of a system. The entropy if a system should always increase, so in a perfect isolated system we would mix and form a uniform concentration
@@anirudhiyer6599 chandler didn’t said isolated
@@anirudhiyer6599 no, not really. you're mixing a physics construct you don't really understand into a social science setting that you know only from personal experience. you can't really remove biological construct from people with peer pressure
In the factory I work in, we are all different. My staff friends are from Tailand, Nigeria, poland, and theres me and others who are from Wales. What I love about my workplace is that we are all different but we are also the same. We have families and friends, and we all love to share our cultures and countries.
I feel comfortable and ask questions, and we always have a laugh and awe at our answers.
I learned how to make a delicious curry from my friends who are from Thailand, and it's okay to love your body and love your personality.
My guy friend is from Nigeria, and we asked the racial questions of black and white people.
We just laugh so much about them, and he wondered why we British love our potatoes.
