@@racciastitan5534 although good! Underwhelming, Sinister strange is absolutely powerful, especially with the dark hold, we excepted two power houses to go at it, but rather saw some clever but..not so large attacks, since sinister strange is suppose to have opposite purple magic
Projectiles? Strange summoned various eldritch beings in the Gargantos fight in New York such as that giant ghost Pokemon thing as well as those mystical floating hands. He also fought hand to hand combat alongside Wong, summoned mystical green fire, summoned dragon heads from another dimension and used the sling ring multiple times.
He also used defensive spells, the mirror dimension, elemental spells, and magical energy blasts, against Wanda.
Used musical notes on a sheet to magically create kinetic energy via sound waves, used the Darkhold to travel to another dimension astrally projecting himself into another body via dream walking, and finally used necromancy to take control of the damned spirits and use them to form a construct cloak of levitation so he could fly to mount wungadamore. He used more magic and it’s variations in this movie than he did in his previous appearances.

I remember getting psyched at the 0:18 mark because until that point, you see Strange solely acting as support to everyone else, but now that everyone else had pretty much fallen, he's opting to take his enemy directly. Because of Doctor Strange's immense powers, just him doing so is a proper escalation an already intense scene, and while the fight is tragically short, every second of it is legitimately awesome.

He’s realized that there’s no one left but them on the battlefield so he’s willing to go all out to take him down.
As a comic book nerd, I freaked out when MCU Dr. STRANGE used the Images of Ikonn spell at the climax of the fight. Though they missed the opportunity to have them ALL speak to thanos at once.
Seeing how chaotic their environment became after Thanos threw a moon made it more intense for me.

Yea, wish they're more creative in the magic abilities and capabilities of the two Masters of Magic. A Master of the Mystic Arts and the Scarlet Witch that has the darkhold fights with the same beam attacks until the end of the movie.

And strange did the dream walking and a few others but it was mainly his magic rope things and summoning other creatures. They could have been wayyy more creative with it, there was so much wasted potential in that movie.

In the comics Thanos is a Master of the Mystic Arts
2 of the 3 times that he uses two gems at the same time (the other being the ray against Thor's hammer-axe), and the only time that he clearly uses the soul stone in the whole movie (maybe said ray against Thor also used it, but is not clear). But well, Doctor Strange always was a walking Deus Ex Machina in the comics, so it is nothing.... strange.

Odin died, Hela destroyed along with Asgard (invading that place at the end of Thor: Raknarok would have been extremely difficult, even if he had the power stone.)
Ancient One died as well, as you mentioned. Thanos has every big threat to him removed from the board.

The moment you realize Thanos basically created a black hole and Strange turned it into butterflies. I mean, black hole is actually the toughest shit in the world and sometimes it's like it came from some fantasy world because it can swallow/destroy planets, stars and galaxies. But these two just played with it. They are too powerful, some have no idea of how powerful they are

Had Strange gotten a chance to fight thanos when he had only 1 or even 2 stones, my money would be on Strange. This fight might not seem like it, but the fact that Thanos had to use all the Stones at his disposal to fight him means Strange really was a force to be reckoned with (Im pretty sure Strange is the only one Thanos used the soul stone against in this fight). And he wasn't even using the time stone.
That's why they did the 1 out of 14 million bullshit because they know they're actual ways thanos can be beaten. Hell in endgame thanos had no stones and could've gotten beaten by strange. They even nerfed thor in endgame so he wouldn't wax that ass

When you realise Strange definitely used his most powerful weapon to see into the future and guarantee a winning scenario
He won the Infinity War and defeated Thanos at the moment he used the time stone at Titan.
From that moment, Thanos already lost.
a lot of fans don't realise that strange in fact did "use" the time stone. he used it in the smartest and best way possible; not as a physical weapon, but as a insurance and tool of sorts. he used it to see 14 million possible outcomes, probably living through every single one of them in real time, which just goes to show how strong strange's mind, memory and will is. he then selected a few in which they won, and chose the one in which they had the most acceptable amount of losses and casualties, i.e. tony and nat and maybe a few more dying. maybe in one of the universes in which they "won" almost everyone was decimated. so strange chose the best possible option (deemed by him), and then proceeded to very carefully place moves and actions to determine their win in endgame. from the moment where he viewed the futures, to him intentionally losing to thanos (yes, he intentionally did it), all the way to the rat in endgame, and the final battle. when thanos finally yeeted carol out of existence, then strange saw that all of the pieces were in place, and every corresponding piece matched up with the winning future he saw, and all that was left was for tony to make the choice. every piece was a gamble, even betting the fate of the universe on the rat. strange played chess with the fate of the universe, sacrificing (chess move) his loss against thanos and giving up the time stone to gain a tactical advantage 5 years later. in my opinion, i believe that strange may be the most powerful avenger, not because of his mind and magic prowess alone, but because of his will and determination to see it through. even going as far as to bargain with dormmamu for what could have been eons, and living through every single one of the 14 million futures.
But all of those have been scripted by Kang, and he didn't see Kang on his vision of possible outcomes which mean bargain thing is already bargain before it happens.
right, because it's time, it demands patients and timing. it was never meant to be a physical powerful stone. but used right, it could be the the stone you need to win a while war.
It was a short fight but if you look closer, it's probably the most intensive of them all, they were wielding immense cosmic power against each other.
And this isn’t even Strange at his full power, he didn’t use the time stone.

I think it was Thanos himself and his place in the ticking of the cosmic clock, in grinds and gears that affected all of that. I don't know much about it though, just my take given what I've observed. I'd def like to know more. :)

If he interfered in the result of battle, they would still eventually lose in some way or another. If there had been one single change in the story how End Game played out, Thanos wins.

Thanos was seeking for revenge because the people were ungrateful for his creation by wiping out half of the the people in the universe. When he saw his death in past Nebula's memories (Thor literally aimed at the head). He changed his mindset that's why he wasn't the old Thanos we know. And that was the future that Strange took. The future where Younger Thanos saw his death from the Avengers

Battle of Titan is one of the greatest fights ever seen on screen, easily the best in the MCU. Everyone got a chance to shine and it was very evenly matched. This was no walk in the park for Thanos and it was refreshing to see him almost lose, even though we knew he wasn’t going to.

I love how strange goes back and fourth between offensive and defensive magic. Starts with a big attack then quickly becomes overwhelmed by thanos.

@@SantiagoOXfir Doctor Strange is arguably more powerful than Scarlet Witch! Undoubtedly one of the strongest MCU characters. But I keep in mind that in story, he was only Master Strange for a couple of years at this point. Could he have beaten Thanos without an infinity gauntlet? I’d say so.

Cmon Man a physical fighter like Thanos is a worst match up against magic trickster like Strange, Base Thanos can't fight strange at all, he would just trap him in mirror dimension and can't get out from it, you can see Thanos here doesn't use anything beside the stones because he already know this.
Yup, he had to use multiple stones in tandem to keep up with strange's magic. Even using the soul stone.
1:10 the way thanos takes the "stone" from strange while holding him by the throat, then throwing him to the side, looks EXACLTY like how he killed vision. even strange roling over

what i love about this fight is that even though Thanos isn't a wizard/magic user, the fight felt like two wizards using their own unique magics against once another

Strange is spell caster / pure wizard user,
While thanos have the counter/ magic user
Canonically thanos probably knows more about magic and cosmic power than strange does.
Thanos uses physical magic,like elements,science and shit,like the beam and blackhole

Strange was nerfed in every fight except vs Thanos. Strange even lost to Ebony Maw in Infinity War when he should have destroyed Maw easily.
You cant compare Strange fight vs Maw to other, Maw ability is telekinesis which make him more flexible than others.. can he beat Strange? Yes.. but can he beat another like Wanda or Thor? No, because their power is Divine, while Strange has to cast the spell first to released his magic, and it becomes advantages for Maw to lock Strange power before he unleashed it..

Dr strange went the whole fight KNOWING he was gonna lose, and that’s what makes him my favorite marvel character.
He couldn't just casually throw too.
He had to fight at exact times and exact moves so that Antman would be in the Quantum Realm, and so that the rat would be affected by butterfly effect upon butterfly effect to free Antman from the Quantum Realm.
Also had to do it in a specific way so that the pairs that end up include Nat & Clint.
A single screwup of 0.1 ms = gg, and Dr Strange toed the fucking absolute line like a mofo.

I’m just here now to see all the appreciation for Stephen since Wanda stans keep bashing him now. They really did him dirty just to focus on a character that isn’t even supposed to be most focused on cuz ITS HIS MOVIE.
I do agree they did him dirty (heck Wanda’s character was destroyed for me in MoM just because, when WandaVision would’ve been her last villain Arc, I expected MoM to be her redemption era tbh)

This is the best fight in the mcu hands down, they are almost perfectly/imperfectly matched. You feel the entire fight that strange is potentially powerful enough to take thanos by himself, only to realize that thanos fights simply for the sport of it when he has any of the stones in his possession.
Cool how Thanos uses the soul stone at 0:53 to find out which Dr. Strange is real.
That's the only time he ever uses it too
I had to cleanse myself from the multiverse of madness fights. Something about them just seems off. Dr strange seems nerfed and wanda does at times. The execution had me thinking "what the heck just do this already or hit the guys or use some other power" which Marvel movies rarely get me thinking like.
I know right, all they used in MoM were projectiles, shields, and the damn flammable books, Strange could not give a good solid fight with Wanda before he loses, he just hurled some snakes and ghosts at Wanda and gets thrown aside, that was all he did, the writer has no creativity with magic

Wanda was nerfed? She was literally Darth Vader throughout the whole movie just tanking her way through everything and everyone to try to get to America. I find this kinda stupid considering all of you were cheering when she was about to beat Thanos on her own when the other Avengers couldn’t in a 3v1. She even held back Thanos while she was *distracted*. Of course Strange was going to lose to her. What did you all expect?
And Strange has never once beaten anyone in a direct fight. That’s his whole shtick. He made a big deal about that in his first movie. He got killed by Dormammu thousands of times, got his ass outsmarted by Spider-Man, lost to Thanos but beat him in a cosmic game of chess, and beat Wanda by appealing to her humanity by letting America show her what she had become. Her doctor octopus moment from Spider-Man 2.
And regardless of any of that, he summoned various eldritch beings, used necromancy, energy manipulation, illusions, teleportation, what else do you want from the man? 😂😂

Did you even read the comment before you replied? Beating Thanos and not showing the same power in another movie is literally the definition of nerfed. Same with Strange. Here is a scene ^ of him going toe to teo with the Mad Titan with Four Infinity stones yet he can't even use similar moves against Wanda? instead he and other sorcerers just put up a shield, then he traps her in some mirror like dimension. Strange was a chump in this movie. Him and Wong were getting knocked out cold every other scene. But yea stay on that MultiVerse of Madness tip 😂

Everyone has been nerfed, Thor and Hulk got nerfed in Endgame, Vision got killed off, Star Lord lost his Celestial god powers, they are not only nerfing Doc's power but also his intelligence. In no way home they made him look dumb for not planning out better with Peter. And again in MoM for basically bringing Wanda into the fold and then ended up becoming the villain.

In facebook i saw a post where a twitter user mentioned that this infinity war fight scene is one of the epic fight scens in MCU. Then the MOM writer mentioned that Multiverse of madness will have even bigger epic fight. Still searching for that...
