Many of the singers who came after her list her as a major influence ( H.E.R, Tori Kelly, Jazmine Sullivan, Kehlani, Sevyn Streeter). This song was on her Never Say Never album and was #1 for 13 weeks. I’d recommend any song from that album or Full Moon to react to

That song was on their 2nd respective album of each singer for which both albums came out at the same time. You definitely picked up on Brandy's unique ''nasely'' voice (a bit from her nose haha). She is unique in that regard. Not my favourite singer but she is definitely great in her own regard. I do prefer like you said Monica's voice, a bit more classic (gospel power voice). Both have maintained their pipes while they are in their early 40's, about 25 yrs from when that song came out in the late 90"s
