When I was young, I threw myself into gardening with the same passion that you have. Now my body will not allow me to work with my flowers. So I get great joy in watching YOU getting great joy from your flowers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making these videos to share with people like me. It gives me so much happiness to see such beauty.
@@EliseBuch You are so welcome. You have no idea how much joy you bring to some people's lives. I have no grandchildren, so I watch you and pretend you're my lovely granddaughter. So much fun!
I just love when you go to the cottage. I love seeing how the flowers have progressed. Its going to be beautiful in full bloom !!!! Thank you for taking us thrifting and for your videos. Have a good evening. ❤️
It would look so nice when you put plants on the shelf in the living room and they are hanging from the shelf! That would look amazing! Love the Cottage videos so much! 🥰
I love watching you shop& get excited when you find a beautiful plant,, some pretty dishes,or glass,or pottery.I love thrifting ..I have found amazing finds when I go& have over 60 yrs.I am 74 now.My son when he was little woud love going as well.Fun times. I hope to see flowers blooming all over.👍🧚♀️🌼☮🧞♀️💞🌴🐣🤗
The joy you bring in sharing your lovely cottage with us all...is so sweet. I long to garden not only for pleasure but to supplement my diet. Would love to grow some cherry tomatoes and herbs. The herbs I can do in small pots on my window sill...also some leaf lettuce. But we shall see, I don't have a car, so getting the soil here is difficult. So I'm going to enjoy your lovely self and cottage garden, very much so. Happy Spring lovely.😊 🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷⛅🌞💧☔🌱🌱🌷
Be careful of wisteria. They are so beautiful but usually need pretty substantial staking up. Clematis is a good choice. They love coffee grounds and having the bottom part of the plant, that's above ground, shaded.
I hope you are keeping a garden journal so that next year you can remember which flowers you like best, which ones bloomed first and second, etc. so that you can keep flowers blooming in succession all summer long. I also keep details about what I’ve learned, the bugs I have battled, and places where I failed. Lol. It’s looking so beautiful, Elise!
Lovely purchases today Elise & I like how you have placed the plants in your secret garden with the lamps too. The cut glass is beautiful & the delicate flowers on the pottery is gorgeous lovely wee table. You sound very happy & relaxed, so glad to say. Also your tableware cake knives are so pretty. 💞🎍🪴🌸🌼🌺🌸🌷🌻🏡⛲️☕️🧁 lots of love such a lovely video 🌸☕️🌸😘
So happy to see you today!! Beautiful flowers 🌸 and nice finds at the thrift shops. Love the cottage always makes my day to watch you planting and decorating the beautiful cottage ❤️🥰😊
I love flowers. I use to have a balcony full of beautiful flowers. I miss them. I use to have beautiful ivy plants inside the kitchen and bedroom. They were very pretty and easy to grow. When I was growing up my parents had 3 dogwood tree’s. They bloom in the spring only, but are very pretty. My mother had a pink and purple azalea plant. They were pretty.
Wow you did so well thrifting today love your items and the glass is so pretty. Your garden is looking magical l on ve the colours so much I enjoyed watching this Vlog Elise have a great day x😄🌈🌈🌈❤️☀️☀️☀️🍾🦚🦜🦆🐢🦋🐝🌹🌺🥀🏵️💐🌻🌼🌷🌷🌱🌱🌳🌼🌼🌸🌸💮🍀☕
Everything is coming together in your lovely cottage garden. The new season will be a great time for you. Very nice little things just thrifted will complement the cute atmosphere all around. Best of all for you, Elise.
Also a lover of sunflowers, recently painted a copy of the only dark background Van Gogh sunflowers,a painting lost to WWll bombing. In 2011 an early color photo was discovered I used that, the texture and manic energy is hard to capture, I failed but still have it on my studio wall. Cheers!
You spoke of my favourite tree at the garden centre today-the beautiful cherry blossom 🌸 Known as sakura in Japan where they blossom in their hundreds at this time of year. I bought a beautiful light blue coloured magnolia last year which I’m hoping gives me a good show this year. Your eye for thrifting is so good. The cottage is starting to look so beautiful now 😊
The Clematis will love growing up the fence. I am so glad to see Denmark is showing signs of spring. In New York, we still have winter and spring fighting with each other. Eventually, Spring will win and winter will be a thing of the past. Enjoy your cottage and blooming plants!
Love everything you thrifted! Garden is starting to take shape, can't wait to see everything in full spring and summer. The little sugar pot with pink flowers can be used as a teaspoon holder or where you put your used tea bags when you serve tea. Just clean after tea time. I enjoy all your vlogs...keep them coming💐
Everything is looking so pretty and colorful! My early flowers are just starting to bloom, that makes me so excited for the nicer weather. I'm still waiting, each week, for the warmest days to go out and spring prune and clean up - I've probably done around half🤷I'll go out when it's in the 50s or warmer, the other days are still to cold for me. ❤️🌼🌻🥀🌱👏👍
The garden is coming along beautifully.🌸🌿🌷🌿💕I’m so glad you didn’t get the wisteria. It is so invasive and will choke out everything. It’s BAD! Also, I wouldn’t recommend magnolia trees. They get huge and are very messy. What you did select is perfect.
Such a relaxing video to watch, I enjoyed it all. I was willing you to buy the decanter and you did lol. Garden centre trips are good too because I like to see if they sell different plants to those se have over here in England. I visited two garden centres over the weekend, one of them only accepts card payments but thought that for a pack of seeds it was extreme so I didnt bother. I rang and checked with the other one to check if they accept cash payments and they did - I bought some cress seeds, some dwarf runner beans, a self-watering trough and some canes.
All your plants and flowers are so lovely. Be careful with wisteria. It grows like mad and will take over your life, haha! Once it's rooted you can almost never get rid of it.
The difference location and temperature makes on flowers is amazing. Britain and Ireland had a mild winter so bulbs were up early this year. My crocus flowers have been and gone, the last of the daffodils are shrivelling and the tulips are flowering. The apple trees are showing their first blossom too. The difference between the warm Gulf Stream and the Baltic wind that's reminding us of winter today. Lovely choices, especially the glassware.
I so enjoy your thrifting videos! Love seeing all your great finds and pretty purchases. It looked like such a gorgeous day for it. And so true, that church near the thrift store was truly beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing!
It all looks so lovely!!! We still have at least 2 feet of snow and the temperature is below freezing 🇨🇦.....so at least another month before I can think about doing anything in my yard!!
Oh those Blue and White Cups and saucers were gorgeous! That Glass carafe reminded me of I Dream of Genie's one ...great filled with Bath salts x The Green Velvet set oh my!!!
Another video that I didn't get a notification for!🤔 I accidently happened upon it on my feed. 👏 All of your findings are so gorgeous! ❤ I'm not sure; however, I think the purple flowers (we call them hydrangeas) & they might get too big for the pot you put both of them in.? 🤷🏼♀️ They also come back every year, bigger and are kind of like a bush. "Vintage Bombshell" has some in her backyard on her YT channel, and they are Soo beautiful!!😍 Thanks for giving me the ummph to get started on my yard😂 If only the March winds would calm down!!😮😅🌬
I wish I lived closer to you I have a tree that has grown from a seed a bird brought us on our balcony the past 3 years. This is the last year it fits on our balcony even growing from the ground. It needs a proper home soon but I am chronically ill and can't leave my flat to look for a place.💔🌳
Great finds! If the edges are sharp on the cut glass decanters, then it is lead crystal. I think the smaller one is. The candle holders may be also. The 2 Hydrangeas (you called them Hortencia) are beautiful! Enjoy!
The small pot with pink décor is so pretty. I think the larger cup with plate might be for soup and bread? (I could be wrong). Your garden will look divine with everything you have bought for it.
Lovely flowers and delightful thrifting finds. The purple plants ( Hydrangea) you put into the white wicker basket are bushes herein the US. They get quite large and are some of my favorite plants to grow.
The lilac hydrangeas may change colour in your garden depending on the acidity of your soil. I planted a wisteria and took my eye off it for 1 season and it took over EVERYTHING lol
Elise, your vlog really brightened my morning, as I do love thrifting, gardening and little cottages. If you plant the lilac coloured hydrangeas at the edge of your patio they will grow into lovely bushes. They would also look lovely on the mound of dirt in front of Winnie too. Note: the ph level of the soil can cause some hydrangeas to change colour, so you might want to look into that. 💛🌷
Looking forward to the cottage in summer so much! Also interested to see what you do with the outside areas that aren’t plants, I’m sure you have even more plans that you haven’t shared yet❤️🌻
