My wife and I pitched our Tensile Trillium off a hiking trail to a hot spring in the dark. The ground was steep and covered in downfall logs. Took about a half hour, but we got it. Then we hung three hammocks under the tent for the kids, got the rain fly on and we were set. Strung up some battery powered LED light strings and camped out in our very own UFO. Talk about a conversation starter! Anyone coming up that trail in the dark was met with this crazy lit up, giggle emitting spaceship. That was 9 years ago. Our kids still talk about that camp out. Best 700.00 bucks I ever spent.
I taught myself how to use a sewing machine last year, and made one of these on my own to save money. I have always used that mosquito net Hamic for camping as it is great for my back pain but when I made this tent but it’s fun for everybody that goes with you. It is a great conversation piece and it is so comfortable.
Not impossible. We've hiked a mile in to a campsite for one night. If you're doing a multiday trip though it gets heavy fast. Think your usually pack weight plus 20 lbs.
Nice review! I've been using a connect for 3+ years and it's still going strong without any issues. One really big tip, and I don't know why Tensile don't make a bigger deal of it - you can replace two of the ratchets with weblocks (sold on the tentsile site) - these are way quicker to set up than the ratchets, way quicker to take down, take up about a third the space and weigh about a quarter as much (half the weight of a connect is the ratchets!). IMHO they're also easier to adjust once the tent is up. Only downside is they're possibly not as safe if you don't know what you're doing.
Question about the durability(sorry it's unrelated just wanted to ask someone who has one) of the tent if someone happened to have some energetic kids or even teens how worried should they be if one of them decides to try jumping on the tent floor?
Hey :) Thx for that cool review ! Was wondering, how do you guys deal with making the tent lightproof ? Is the rain protection enough ? Should it be better to choose the dark rainproof to minimise the light in ? Thx in advance !
I have The small 1 person OCEAN Una 1 but it feels sorta small but I did sleep amazing tho. But I wish the 1 person tent was a bit wider by the feet. Maybe even if it was square that would be nice. I might buy the 2 person version just so it fits me more perfectly

They should make clip on quilts that can either hang from the sides over go across underneath... either way would help with the convection heat loss
Best review I could find 💯

Does the is come with strap covers to put around the trees to protect the straps?
Merci!
Thanks a lot for that video guys, just one question : is it really impossible to hike with it in your opinion ?

@@quff7926 its pretty much bullet proof, and even if you get a tear somehow, it doesn't spread. I wouldn't worry about it.

With the rain fly it’s really not any different than your typical tent. It’s definitely not a blackout tent.
AWESOME!

how tall are you? Im thinking of getting the una but at 6 4 or 193ish cm I'm worried it will be too small.

@@Terradriftthank you for answering the important question, sold
I can attest that it works quite well 😉
Are people confusing flying tent with hammock tents... I just spent the past 10 minutes looking for a tent that would fly 🙄
Awe man! We’d love a flying tent! Let us know if you find one! 🤣
Seems like an advertisement
Nope, just an honest review!
Oh, and by the way, I took three layers of emergency blanket material and sewed it into the bottom with a quilt on top
Bro whaat 9 lb is heavy ??
Try 99 lb for 8 hour
